MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1.Must possess a current license as required by the state board where services will be provided or be license eligible. Licensure must be completed within 100 days of hire:
WV: Pharmacist license through the West Virginia State Board of Pharmacy
PA: Pharmacist license through the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy
MD: Pharmacist license through the Maryland Board of Pharmacy
OH: Pharmacist license through the Ohio Board of Pharmacy
NOTE:
* While waiting on licensure, employee may not practice pharmacy under West Virginia law and may not be allowed within the licensed pharmacy area without direct and guided supervision of a licensed pharmacist
* Employee may not function as a Pharmacist-in-Charge or perform any function of a practicing pharmacist.
* Incumbents will refrain from engaging in any responsibilities that necessitate a pharmacist's license until they have obtained full licensure.
EXPERIENCE:
1.Completion of one of the following combinations of experience:
2.Completion of a health-system pharmacy administration residency program AND 4 years of administrative experience OR;
3.Completion of a non-health-system pharmacy administration residency program AND 5 years of administrative experience OR;
4.Seven years inpatient and/or health-system pharmacy administrative experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. Master of Business Administration, Master of Health Administration, Master of Science in Health-System Pharmacy Administration, or Master in Public Health.
2. Board Certification in a clinical pharmacy specialty.

Skills Required
- Current pharmacist license in the state of practice or license-eligible with licensure completed within 100 days
- Completion of health-system pharmacy administration residency plus 4 years administrative experience, OR non-health-system residency plus 5 years administrative experience, OR 7 years inpatient/health-system pharmacy administrative experience
- May not perform pharmacist duties or act as Pharmacist-in-Charge until fully licensed (compliance with state restrictions while awaiting licensure)
- Completion of annual required education related to specialty accreditation (where facility specialty accreditation applies)
- Master's degree (MBA, MHA, MS in Health-System Pharmacy Administration, or MPH)
- Board Certification in a clinical pharmacy specialty
- Foundation knowledge in retail pharmacy and specific knowledge of 340B
