We are seeking an experienced and motivated Director, Payroll, to join our team. In this role, you will support all facets of payroll operations for Player 15 Group, while playing a key role in broader department initiatives.
Your Role on the Team
- Lead accurate and timely multi-cycle, multi-state payroll processing for Player 15 Group
- Ensure compliance with applicable payroll tax and labor laws, including tax filings, deposits, withholdings and reporting
- Oversee payroll systems, PTO accruals, pay card programs, audits and related documentation
- Partner with People & Culture, Finance and IT to resolve discrepancies and improve payroll processes
- Lead, coach and develop Payroll team members
- Prepare payroll reports and provide support for payroll accounting, tax and general ledger functions
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and company financial information
Your Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources or a related field preferred
- 7+ years of progressive payroll experience, including multi-state payroll
- 3+ years of management or leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of payroll tax laws, payroll accounting and HRIS/payroll systems; Dayforce experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes and manage cross-functional relationships
