Location: Remote — Latin America
Employment Type: Full-Time
Industry: Digital Marketing / E-commerce (DTC)
Compensation: $3,500 – $5,000 USD/month
Schedule: Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST)

About the Company

Our client is a fast-growing performance marketing agency specializing in scaling direct-to-consumer (DTC) e-commerce brands. They partner with ambitious consumer brands to drive measurable growth through data-driven paid media strategies, advanced campaign optimization, creative testing, and continuous performance improvement.

Their collaborative, high-performance culture values ownership, clear communication, strong execution, and measurable results.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Paid Search to lead the paid search function for a portfolio of high-growth direct-to-consumer (DTC) e-commerce brands.

This position operates full-time during Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) business hours, making it ideal for professionals who are comfortable working an Australia-based schedule while collaborating directly with executive stakeholders and clients.

This is not a traditional PPC specialist or Google Ads operator role. We are looking for someone who can operate as the owner of the paid search channel. This person should combine exceptional technical expertise with strong client communication skills and the ability to independently manage day-to-day performance, optimization, reporting, and client relationships.

The ideal candidate is truly director-level: equally comfortable building sophisticated Google Ads account structures, leading client conversations, presenting performance insights, and making strategic execution decisions without requiring constant oversight.

If you're passionate about scaling DTC brands, managing significant advertising budgets, and partnering directly with executive teams to drive measurable business growth, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll DoPaid Search Channel Management
  • Own the day-to-day management of Google Ads accounts across Search, Performance Max, Shopping, Demand Gen, and YouTube where applicable.

  • Design, build, and continuously refine Google Ads account structures.

  • Manage keyword strategy, search query analysis, and negative keyword discipline.

  • Build and optimize Performance Max campaigns, including asset group structure, audience signals, and exclusion strategies.

  • Monitor Shopping feeds and provide clear optimization recommendations.

  • Manage bidding strategies, budget pacing, and campaign efficiency.

  • Draft ad copy and asset variations, with final approval from leadership on net-new positioning.

  • Monitor GA4 conversions and investigate tracking discrepancies.

  • Identify performance opportunities through data analysis and ongoing campaign review.

  • Coordinate with the Paid Social team to share cross-channel learnings and improve overall performance.

Performance Optimization
  • Analyze campaign performance and identify opportunities to improve ROAS, CPA, conversion volume, and account efficiency.

  • Refine campaign structures based on business goals, product performance, customer intent, and historical data.

  • Maintain strong discipline around search query review, keyword expansion, and negative keyword management.

  • Improve Performance Max performance through asset testing, feed insights, audience signals, and campaign segmentation.

  • Monitor conversion tracking accuracy and troubleshoot discrepancies between Google Ads, GA4, and other reporting platforms.

  • Stay current on Google Ads platform updates, Performance Max best practices, Shopping optimization, and modern DTC paid search strategies.

Client Communication
  • Maintain daily Slack availability during Australian business hours.

  • Respond to client questions with a same-day response standard.

  • Lead written communication with the client team on paid search topics, including performance questions, campaign changes, feed recommendations, and account updates.

  • Join weekly client calls and lead the paid search portion of the agenda.

  • Contribute to bi-weekly reporting decks and present the paid search performance section on calls.

  • Communicate insights clearly, confidently, and professionally.

  • Escalate strategic, scope, or commercial questions to leadership rather than answering directly.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who brings both exceptional technical expertise and executive-level professionalism.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience managing Google Ads campaigns.

  • 2+ years managing advertising accounts with monthly spend exceeding $100,000 USD.

  • Demonstrated success scaling direct-to-consumer (DTC) e-commerce brands.

  • Experience working with apparel or fashion brands is strongly preferred.

  • Advanced expertise in Google Ads, including Search, Performance Max, Shopping, Demand Gen, and YouTube.

  • Recent Performance Max fluency, including post-2024 best practices.

  • Strong Shopping feed optimization experience.

  • Advanced GA4 fluency, including custom conversions, audiences, exploration reports, and conversion monitoring.

  • Strong understanding of attribution, tracking discrepancies, modeled conversions, and modern paid search measurement.

  • Fluent spoken and written English, with the confidence to communicate directly with Australian and U.S. executives in meetings, Slack, and written reports.

  • The ability to work full-time during Australian business hours (AEST).

  • A truly director-level mindset, capable of taking ownership of the paid search channel and operating independently.

  • Strong client-facing communication skills with experience leading meetings, presenting results, and building trusted client relationships.

  • The ability to independently manage priorities, solve problems, and make informed execution decisions while escalating strategic or commercial discussions appropriately.

  • Experience working directly with Western clients, including Australia, United States, United Kingdom, or Canada, rather than exclusively supporting offshore delivery teams.

  • Exceptional analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a continuous optimization mindset.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a performance marketing agency environment.

  • Experience supporting multiple DTC brands simultaneously.

  • Strong reporting and presentation skills.

  • Experience with Shopify, Google Merchant Center, Triple Whale, Northbeam, Looker Studio, or similar analytics platforms.

  • Familiarity with feed management tools and e-commerce product data optimization.

  • Experience collaborating with Paid Social teams on cross-channel performance insights.

  • Experience working remotely with distributed international teams.

Why Join This Opportunity?
  • Work with rapidly growing DTC e-commerce brands.

  • Manage significant advertising budgets with meaningful business impact.

  • Collaborate directly with experienced digital marketing leadership.

  • Fully remote position for professionals based in Latin America.

  • Full-time role aligned with Australian business hours.

  • High level of ownership and autonomy.

  • Opportunity to influence paid search performance while remaining deeply involved in execution.

  • Long-term career growth within a scaling agency.

  • Competitive salary: $3,500 – $5,000 USD/month

  • Fully remote work.

  • Full-time position.

  • Long-term opportunity.

  • High-impact role with significant ownership and growth potential.
