Employment Status: Full-Time, Benefits Eligible
Location: On-Site at Gymreapers HQ in Nampa, ID (20 mins outside of Boise, ID)
Reports To: Senior Director of Operations
Job Description:
Gymreapers is a high-growth ecommerce brand selling premium fitness and lifting gear across Shopify DTC, Amazon, TikTok Shop, and major retail partners including Walmart, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and Scheels. We have internalized fulfillment and are building the operations infrastructure to support aggressive, sustained growth.
We are seeking a Director of Operations to own the day-to-day execution of our warehouse and fulfillment operation. This role is accountable for all 4-wall performance — receiving, pick/pack, shipping, labor productivity, and inventory accuracy — and leads a team of operations leaders responsible for moving product accurately and on time across every channel.
The Director of Operations sets the daily performance cadence, owns the warehouse P&L, resolves escalations before they move upstream, and builds the systems and habits that allow Gymreapers to scale without breaking. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes personal ownership of outcomes and develops the people around them.

Our Core Values
Grow or Die · Customer Obsession · Extreme Ownership · Nothing is Given // Everything is Earned · Be Humble · 1% Better Everyday · Live with Integrity · Sacrifice
Key Responsibilities:
1. Warehouse and Fulfillment Execution
Own all 4-wall operations and ensure product moves accurately and on time across every channel.
- Lead receiving, putaway, pick/pack, and shipping functions with consistent performance against daily throughput targets
- Hold operations managers accountable to KPIs, SLAs, and daily cutoff attainment
- Own the daily operations cadence: huddles, performance reviews, exception management, and end-of-day close
- Ensure order accuracy and on-time ship rate targets are met across DTC, Amazon, and wholesale channels
- Manage returns processing and reverse logistics within the four walls
2. Labor Planning and Workforce Management
Build and manage the warehouse workforce to meet throughput demands efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Own labor planning and scheduling across all warehouse functions, including seasonal flex and surge planning
- Drive productivity targets: units per labor hour, overtime management, and cost per unit fulfilled
- Partner with HR on hiring, onboarding, and retention of warehouse associates and managers
- Build a culture of accountability and ownership on the warehouse floor
- Ensure OSHA compliance, safety standards, and incident reporting across all warehouse activities
3. Inventory Accuracy and Control
Own physical inventory accuracy within the four walls and maintain tight control over stock integrity.
- Manage cycle count programs and ensure inventory accuracy targets are consistently met
- Oversee receiving accuracy against POs and escalate discrepancies to supply chain quickly
- Partner with supply chain on inventory reconciliation between physical counts and system-of-record
- Minimize shrinkage, damage, and mis-location through disciplined process and associate accountability
4. Systems and Process Ownership
Own WMS performance and drive continuous process improvement across all warehouse operations.
- Oversee WMS configuration, user administration, and day-to-day system performance
- Develop and maintain documented SOPs, training materials, and operating standards for all warehouse functions
- Identify bottlenecks and implement operational improvements that drive throughput, accuracy, and cost efficiency
- Evaluate and recommend systems or equipment investments with clear ROI framing
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Serve as the primary operations partner to logistics, supply chain, and marketing — ensuring execution is aligned with what the rest of the business needs from the warehouse.
- Partner with logistics on inbound dock scheduling, inbound ETA visibility, and outbound carrier manifesting — ensuring the warehouse and freight functions operate as one seamless execution unit
- Interface with supply chain on inbound PO schedules, inventory reconciliation, and replenishment timing — translating supply chain outputs into warehouse labor plans and receiving capacity
- Collaborate with marketing on promotional calendars, product launch timelines, and campaign fulfillment requirements — ensuring the warehouse is staffed, staged, and operationally ready before demand hits
- Coordinate with retail ops on LTL staging, routing guide compliance, and on-time shipment to retail partners
- Represent warehouse operations in cross-functional planning discussions and flag capacity, staffing, or systems constraints before they become execution failures
- Provide weekly performance reporting to the Senior Director of Operations
6. KPI Ownership and Performance Architecture
Own the KPI framework for the warehouse operations org — defining what gets measured, how it gets measured, and what good looks like.
- Design and own the warehouse KPI architecture: define the right metrics for each function (receiving, pick/pack, shipping, inventory), establish baselines, set targets, and build the measurement infrastructure that makes performance visible in real time
- Ensure every manager on the team has a clear, owned set of KPIs they are accountable to — and that those KPIs roll up coherently to the Director level
- Partner with the Process Improvement Manager on pre/post measurement protocols for operational change initiatives — providing the KPI framework within which improvement efficacy is evaluated
- Build and maintain the weekly ops performance dashboard for the Senior Director of Operations: actuals vs. targets, trend lines, exception flags, and forward-looking risk indicators
- Identify metric gaps where the warehouse org is operating without visibility and close them — through systems, reporting tools, or manual tracking until a scalable solution is in place
- Ensure KPI definitions are consistent, understood by the team, and not gamed — the numbers should reflect reality
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of operations experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing warehouse or fulfillment teams
- Proven track record running a 4-wall fulfillment operation, including labor management and throughput targets
- Experience managing 100,000+ sq ft facilities and teams of 30–100+ employees
- Strong WMS background — configuration, reporting, and process design (Manhattan, NetSuite WMS, SkuVault, or comparable)
- Demonstrated ability to design and own KPI frameworks — defining metrics, establishing baselines, and building reporting infrastructure that drives accountability
- Demonstrated ability to hold teams accountable to daily KPIs in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with logistics, supply chain, and marketing teams in a fast-moving ecommerce or omnichannel environment
- Experience in ecommerce fulfillment, consumer goods, or high-SKU-count product companies preferred
- Background working with retail wholesale fulfillment and major retail partners preferred
