We are seeking an experienced professional to provide leadership for Operations, Facilities, Capital Projects and Continuous Improvement on site.

The Role

• The operations director would be the focal point for all matters relating to the site's operational performance.

• Continue to develop the Operation to be customer-focused and drive improvements in line with targets to achieve the site strategy.

• Integrate with other departments to deliver on time and in budget performance in operational areas.

• Manage the Production, Facilities and CI functions to ensure co-ordinated and efficient supply of services.

• Work closely with Supply chain to develop production capacity plans and strategies for the medium and long term.

• Responsible for ensuring that EHS programmes are engaged with and implemented in all operational areas on site.

• Responsibility for the preparation and observance of the Operations budget.

• Lead the Operations function through strategic goals & objectives.

• Ensure effective Operational disciplines are followed to deliver existing products and launches of new products.

• Other duties as assigned.

The Candidate

• Higher qualification/degree in a scientific or other relevant subject.

• Pharmaceutical industry experience would be advantageous, as a strong working knowledge of the requirements of a manufacturing organization to be compliant with regulations, legislation, and cGMP is an integral part of the chargeable service being offered by Catalent.

• Manufacturing organization experience is highly preferred, ideally with a make-to-order approach.

• Skilled at offering operational and strategic leadership in a customer-focused setting.

• Certification in Lean 6-Sigma or comparable efficiency improvement programs would have been ideal.

• Lead multi-disciplined teams to drive performance improvement projects.

• Demonstrable leadership experience at Catalent (including but not limited to participation in Catalent-sponsored leadership programs such as NGGL, GOLD, LEAD Now, GM Excellence, and GROW) may be considered in place of external experience.
