As the Director of Operations for the In-District Services Program at River Rock Academy, you will lead operational excellence across multiple district locations, ensuring schools have the resources, systems, and support needed to provide high-quality educational services. Through strong leadership, collaboration, and a commitment to continuous improvement, you will help create safe, efficient, and compliant learning environments that empower students and support school teams.
What You'll Need
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Education, or a related field
Five years of operations experience in a school or district setting, including at least three years in a leadership role
Strong leadership, organizational, project management, and communication skills
Ability to build collaborative relationships with district partners and cross-functional teams
Ability to travel regularly to district locations throughout Western Pennsylvania
Ability to support emergency response activities, including crisis intervention and facility safety when needed
What You'll Do
Lead daily operations across multiple In-District Services sites, including staffing, scheduling, logistics, facilities, transportation, and resource allocation
Ensure compliance with district policies, regulations, safety standards, and operational procedures while driving continuous improvement
Supervise and develop operational staff through onboarding, coaching, training, and performance management
Partner with district leaders and internal teams to align operational priorities with instructional and program goals
Monitor operational performance through site visits, reporting, and data analysis while supporting emergency preparedness and additional responsibilities as assigned

What We Do
River Rock Academy is a private licensed academic school providing educational and therapeutic services to students in grades 1-12. The academy offers alternative and special education programs, including specialized academics, counseling, and social-skills support, designed to help students build confidence and succeed. They work in partnership with home school districts to provide a safe and nurturing environment for students with alternative and special education needs.
