We are seeking a Director of Operations to join the team in the DFW area. This high-impact leadership role will oversee operational execution across a large portfolio of active commercial projects while helping scale the business for continued growth. What You'll Do as the Director of Operations:

  • Lead day-to-day operations across a high-volume commercial flooring division
  • Oversee project execution from pre-construction through final closeout
  • Drive consistency across scheduling, installation coordination, labor planning, and field operations
  • Partner with executive leadership on operational strategy, forecasting, and scalability initiatives
  • Monitor project schedules, manpower allocation, and operational performance metrics
  • Resolve escalated project issues and ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget
  • Lead and develop project managers, field leadership, and operational support staff
  • Improve operational processes, accountability, communication, and team performance
  • Support workforce planning and operational infrastructure to accommodate continued growth
  • Track project profitability, labor productivity, and key operational KPIs

Must-Haves as the Director of Operations:

  • 8+ years of leadership experience within commercial flooring or commercial construction operations
  • Strong operational leadership experience overseeing multiple concurrent construction projects
  • Deep understanding of scheduling, labor planning, field operations, and project execution
  • Experience leading operational teams in fast-paced construction environments
  • Strong financial and business acumen related to project profitability and budgeting
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to drive accountability and operational efficiency across teams
  • Experience collaborating with executive leadership on strategic initiatives
