With exciting expansion plans this role will be pivotal in expanding our retail footprint and ensuring the successful operations and execution of best practice of our new stores globally. You will drive the strategy, planning, and delivery of our retail initiatives across the global retail operations, visual merchandising and training teams in both owned and wholesale footprints.

  • Develop and implement the retail and wholesale operations strategy for Gymshark globally, aligning with the overall business objectives.
  • Develop, adapt and standardise operational policies, procedures, and best practices to optimise store and wholesale performance suitable for the region / territory ensuring consistency across visual merchandising, service, product delivery and training.
  • Lead the rollout plan for new store opening and wholesale expansion, ensuring seamless transitions from concept to full-scale operations
  • Oversee the global visual merchandising strategy to ensure we we show up consistently in our locations, aligned to global brand campaigns, with clear product stories & strategies whilst remaining locally relevant to our community.
  • Designing, creating, delivering & evaluating the success of Gymshark’s IRL training & career development programme & supporting materials for our IRL team to ensure retail and wholesale staff are knowledgeable and motivated.
  • Develop and implement customer feedback systems to gather insights and drive continuous improvement
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing retail and wholesale global support team
  • Foster a positive and engaging work environment that promotes teamwork, growth, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance to achieve revenue and profitability targets across the portfolio.
  • Ensure retail and wholesale compliance is executed across the fleet.

 WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Extensive experience of retail and wholesale operations management experience globally, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully opening and managing multiple retail and wholesale locations in different territories
  • Experience of managing global retail and wholesale operations teams including the global visual merchandising and training teams.
  • Experience of developing and delivering a global retail and wholesale operations strategy with a meaningful vision and clear deliverables that support continuous improvement and business growth.
  • A drive for high standards across all areas of accountability, ensuring a consistent consumer experience regardless of location
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in P&L management and budget oversight.
  • Exceptional leadership and team development skills.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills to move across a variety of senior stakeholder groups internally and externally
  • Excellent strategic planning and organisational abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
