Warm Hearth Village in Blacksburg, VA is seeking a Director of Nursing for Showalter Center, our level I assisted living community. The DON must have the ability to listen, understand and communicate effectively with team members, residents and their families.
The expected starting salary for this position is competitive and based on experience. We also offer a robust benefits package. FT employees earn four weeks of PTO per year and have access to 5 days (40 hours) of PTO upon hire. Requirements:
- A deep knowledge and understanding or willingness to be trained on relevant regulations
- A valid Virginia RN nursing license in good standing
- 3-5 years of experience in a senior living or critical care environment
- UAI and ISP certified or willingness to obtain certifications

What We Do
Warm Hearth Village is a nonprofit 55+ retirement community on a 220-acre woodland campus in Blacksburg, Virginia, in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Founded by Dutch immigrants Wybe and Marietje Kroontje as an expression of gratitude to America, it offers active adult living, independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled and long-term nursing care, plus home health, home care and hospice services.
