As Director of Nursing - DON (RN - Registered Nurse), you will:

  • Develop and maintain nursing service goals and standards of practice
  • Participate in nursing department staffing (recruit, select, assign, orient, in-service, supervise, evaluate, retain, terminate)
  • Collaborate with the Administrator and Center leadership to meet Center goals
  • Coordinates nursing services with other services such as medical, rehabilitation, social services, and activities
  • Administer and evaluate all nursing service programs to maintain standards of patient care

Qualifications for Director of Nursing - DON (RN - Registered Nurse):

  • Current RN license in good standing with the Virginia Department of Health Professions
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Five years' experience in a nursing leadership role
  • Long-Term/Rehab/Memory Care experience (preferred)

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Current RN license in good standing with the Virginia Department of Health Professions.

2. Five years of experience in nursing leadership role.

3. Long-term care experience preferred.

4. Strong commitment to patients, employees, and innovative care delivery.

5. Ability to build strong teams. 6. Ability to motivate, develop caring relationships, and communicate effectively.

7. Current CPR Healthcare Provider certification.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 Prolonged periods standing, walking, working and frequently pulling, pushing, and bending

 Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time  Must be able to move 150 pounds with assistance

Skills Required

  • Current Registered Nurse license in good standing with the Virginia Department of Health Professions
  • Current CPR Healthcare Provider certification
  • Five years of experience in a nursing leadership role
  • Long-term care, rehabilitation, or memory-care experience
