Your Role as a Director of Nursing (DON):

  • Lead, plan, and oversee daily operations of the nursing department
  • Supervise nursing staff including RNs, LPNs, CMAs, and CNAs
  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and facility regulations
  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures
  • Monitor quality of care and implement performance improvement initiatives
  • Oversee hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management of nursing staff
  • Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to the nursing team
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary departments to ensure coordinated, resident-centered care
  • Maintain regulatory readiness and lead state survey processes
  • Foster a positive, supportive, and accountable care environment

What We're Looking For:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio
  • Current CPR certification
  • Minimum of 5 years of long-term care nursing experience, including leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and clinical standards
  • Proven leadership, decision-making, and team development skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Compassionate, resident-focused leadership approach
