Director, Marketing
Arrow International is seeking an experienced and hands-on Director, Marketing to lead our marketing strategy and execution as we continue to grow and expand the business.
This individual will lead the development of a more integrated marketing function across Arrow, with responsibility for marketing strategy, annual planning, budgeting, brand and content, digital and web, campaign execution, and marketing operations. The Director will initially focus heavily on Arrow’s consumables business while helping build capabilities that can support additional areas of the organization over time.
Arrow operates in a unique, highly regulated, distributor-driven industry. Rather than a traditional direct-to-consumer model, our products reach charitable organizations and operators through a broad distributor network. Success in this role requires someone who understands how to translate product and commercial strategies into marketing programs that support both our channel partners and the end users of our products.
The Director will work closely with Product Management, Channel Management, Sales, Legal, Technology, and other leaders across Arrow. Product and commercial teams will help establish the product, pricing, and go-to-market direction, while Marketing will be responsible for translating that direction into effective messaging, campaigns, creative assets, digital experiences, and execution.
We’re looking for a leader who can move comfortably between strategy and execution. This person should be excited about developing a team, establishing scalable marketing processes, improving how work is prioritized, and building a high-performing function within a fast-growing organization.
This role will report to the VP, Merchandising & Marketing.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and own Arrow’s annual marketing strategy, operating plan, and budget in alignment with broader business priorities.
- Translate product positioning, pricing, channel strategy, and go-to-market direction into integrated marketing campaigns and execution plans.
- Lead Arrow’s Brand & Content and Digital & Web functions, establishing clear priorities, standards, and accountability across both areas.
- Provide strategic direction across brand development, messaging, content, websites, social media, digital marketing, and campaign execution.
- Build and maintain a structured marketing intake and prioritization process that allows resources to be aligned with the highest-impact business needs.
- Establish clear workflows for campaign development, creative production, stakeholder review, and execution.
- Lead, coach, and develop marketing leaders and team members while building capabilities for the future.
- Partner closely with Product Management and Channel Management to understand product, customer, distributor, and market priorities.
- Collaborate with Sales to ensure marketing programs and materials effectively support the distributor network and customer-facing organization.
- Partner with Legal to ensure marketing communications and promotional programs align with applicable charitable gaming regulations and requirements.
- Partner with Technology and Business Intelligence on digital capabilities, marketing technology, analytics, and performance measurement.
- Establish marketing performance metrics and deliver regular reporting on campaign effectiveness, digital performance, marketing investments, and other key measures.
- Manage the marketing budget and external agency, vendor, and partner relationships.
- Ensure Arrow’s brand, messaging, and marketing standards are consistently applied across the organization.
- Continuously evaluate opportunities to improve marketing capabilities, processes, tools, and overall effectiveness as Arrow continues to grow.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field required.
- 10–15 years of progressive marketing experience spanning brand and content development, physical and digital media, integrated marketing, and campaign execution.
- 3–5 years of experience at the Director level or equivalent scope, including direct leadership of managers and marketing teams.
- Demonstrated experience developing marketing strategy, annual plans, budgets, governance, workflows, and operating processes.
- Proven experience in a distributor, channel-based, B2B, or B2B2C go-to-market environment.
- Strong understanding of how product, channel, sales, and marketing functions work together to execute commercial strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to build or significantly evolve marketing capabilities and infrastructure within a growing organization.
- Ability to operate at both a strategic and detailed execution level and move comfortably between the two.
- Strong leadership and people-development skills with the ability to build high-performing teams.
- Excellent ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence leaders across multiple areas of an organization.
- Strong analytical and business acumen with the ability to establish meaningful performance measures and use data to guide decisions.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Experience in a regulated industry such as gaming, alcohol, financial services, or another compliance-heavy category preferred.
- Experience supporting charitable, nonprofit, distributor, or similarly complex customer channels is a plus.
