About The Role:
Atera is hiring an experienced, skilled, and innovative Director of Marketing Operations to join our leadership team. The Director of Marketing Operations owns the systems, data, lifecycle and processes that power our Marketing engine. Reporting directly to the CMO, the Director of Marketing Operations role is responsible for designing and scaling marketing operations across growth motions, ensuring clean data, efficient handoffs, and measurable impact from first touch through expansion.
This role is designed for a senior Marketing Operations leader who has already built and scaled marketing operations engines in high-growth SaaS environments, and who combines executive-level thinking with hands-on execution, data fluency, and systems leadership.
What You’ll Do
- Define the Marketing Operations vision and roadmap, enabling intelligent decision-making through precise analysis and deep funnel visibility.
- Strategically lead the lifecycle, enrichment, and qualification processes across Enterprise (SLG) and Product-Led (PLG) motions.
- Collaborate with RevOps, Sales, and Product to streamline the funnel, ensuring a unified data model and high data integrity across all systems.
- Establish a clear operating cadence, including weekly reviews, budget tracking, and executive-level reporting on KPIs and risks.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing Marketing Operations team, balancing long-term strategic improvements with the ability to resolve urgent operational issues with speed and precision.
- Own the evaluation, implementation, and optimization of the Marketing tech stack. Provide hands-on leadership for HubSpot, Salesforce, Workato, and In-App communication tools.
- Embed AI into core workflows (scoring, routing, anomaly detection) to drive operational efficiency and predict revenue opportunities.
- Demonstrate a proven ability to handle urgent requests and critical issues with speed and precision, digging into the root cause for quick resolution, while also contributing to long-term strategic improvements.
- Build and maintain a central 'Marketing Ops Playbook.' Train and enable the marketing team on new technologies and processes to ensure high adoption and standard operating procedures.
Requirements:
- Over 4 years of leading Marketing Operations team or related experience at fast growing SaaS companies
- Over 8 years of Marketing Operations experience with both PLG and Enterprise/SLG motions
- Proven ability to lead teams and work cross-functionally in a highly collaborative environment
- Strong analytical abilities, feeling comfortable around data analysis
- Balance of strategic vision and tactical execution
- Ability to move quickly in a fast-paced environment without forgetting important details
- Excellent planning, organizational, communication, project management skills and presentation skills including senior stakeholder relationships
- Hands-on experience with In-Product communication tools
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment and adapt to changing priorities and market conditions
