Position Description:
Manages the execution of sprint goals, quarterly roadmaps, and yearly outcomes, using Jira, Jira Align, and MS Visio. Collaborates with architecture, operations, and engineering experts to set vision and strategy for product lines in a matrixed environment. Leads product planning processes and long-term strategy by identifying disruptive innovations, broader business and technology trends, and assumptions that affect product and business strategy. Designs, develops, and maintains dynamic software products and solutions. Researches and recommends new technologies in support of the strategic direction of the Strategic Advisors applications.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Engages with engineering teams on system design (architecture, design, and test plan) reviews to capture systems and technical design and requirement documentation.
- Engages with users and stakeholders to provide efficient technology, business performance, and cost reduction solutions for development of product.
- Participates in all phases of the product development lifecycle -- requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance of the functionality.
- Establishes processes and procedures for system validation testing to drive quality.
- Suggests improvements for the product design and development.
- Mentors junior team members.
- Designs, develops, and modifies complex and major software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
- Develops and directs software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent including 3-year foreign degree) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field and six (6) years of experience as a Director, IT Product Management (or closely related occupation) designing, developing, and deploying data centric client facing web applications using Informatica, Autosys, Swagger, Java and Oracle in a financial investments or insurance services environment using Agile methodologies.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field and four (4) years of experience as a Director, IT Product Management (or closely related occupation) designing, developing, and deploying data centric client facing web applications using Informatica, Autosys, Swagger, Java and Oracle in a financial investments or insurance services environment using Agile methodologies.

- Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) designing and implementing scalable and complex technology solutions for investment and research teams to make informed investment decisions, using Oracle, Informatica, Snowflake, Autosys, and ETL.
- DE leading the design of best-in-class Java-based RESTful API solutions to support portfolio management and research applications that cater to holdings distribution, client security funding and returns-driven proxies using API development platforms (Swagger and Insomnia).
- DE managing the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) by engaging with business stakeholders, architecture, and technology partners to build and maintain data platforms according to Agile methodologies; and leveraging Scrum to visualize and manage sprints using Jira.
- DE leading and managing large scale software development projects within a multinational asset management firm consisting of large geographically distributed development teams, using enterprise development tools and technologies (Java, Oracle, Snowflake, Kafka, Jenkins, and Maven) and Agile planning tools (JIRA Align and JIRA).
Salary: $156,100.00 - $194,000.00/year.
