As the Director of IT Managed Services, you will oversee the design and implementation of IT managed services to deliver high-quality service to clients. This position involves consulting and collaborating with clients and technical teams to design effective service strategies

Responsibilities:

  • Perform current state audits and analysis
  • Recommend managed services solutions based on findings (including, defining scope, SLA’s, timelines, technology requirements, workflow processes and resource)
  • Create client facing “findings” documents and recommended solutions documents
  • Provide data and input to the pricing process
  • Plan, oversee, execute, and monitor implementation plans
  • Manage budgets and ensure projects stay on track
  • Identify, select, and negotiate with vendors as necessary
  • Monitor performance and ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Manage relationship and resolve issue
  • Robust understanding of IT infrastructure, software, and systems
  • Troubleshoot technical problems and provide solutions
  • Stay up to date on evolving IT technologies and trends
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external clients
  • Build strong relationships with clients/vendors; collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with the solution
  • Develop and implement risk management plans
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Manage, coach, and develop team of IT professionals

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (preferred in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, Cyber Security, or related field)
  • Preferred minimum 7 years of experience in the field of Service Desk, Managed Services, MSP, or related fields
  • Preferred certifications: IT Service Management (ITSM), Cyber security such as CISSP and CISM, and/or Azure or AWS cloud computing
  • Strong understanding and experience of IT infrastructure, networking, software, and security
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical problems and provide solutions
  • Experience in planning, executing, and monitoring IT projects
  • Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and build strong relationships with clients and vendors
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to analyze data and identify trends and patterns
  • Strong problem-solving skills; ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Knowledge of IT outsourcing methodologies and best practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • High sense of urgency with the ability to meet deadlines and changing priorities
  • Receptiveness to performance feedback within a team environment is essential
