We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded professional to join our Information Technology team as the Director of IT Business Applications, focusing on finance, human resources (HR), tax, and legal applications. The successful candidate will lead a dynamic team responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of IT solutions that drive our finance, HR, tax, and legal operations. The role requires a deep understanding of business processes, technology trends, and the ability to align IT strategies with overall business goals.
Essential Functions
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy for our finance, HR, tax, and legal applications, in collaboration with the finance, HR, tax, and legal business leaders and partners, ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives.
- Collaborate with business leaders to understand their needs and provide innovative technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency and drive revenue growth.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of finance, HR, tax, and legal applications from requirements gathering to implementation, maintenance, and eventual retirement.
- Ensure applications are scalable, reliable, and aligned with industry best practices.
- Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with external vendors and partners to enhance the functionality of existing applications or implement new solutions.
- Negotiate contracts, ensure service level agreements are met, and optimize costs.
- Collaborate with other IT leaders and departments to ensure seamless integration between finance, HR, tax, and legal applications and other enterprise systems.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their evolving needs and proactively recommend technology solutions.
- Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard finance, HR, tax, and legal applications and sensitive data.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards.

Minimum Experience, Education, and Certifications
An individual qualified for this job must have and maintain the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in a leadership role overseeing IT business applications, with a focus on finance, HR, tax, and legal functions.
