Job Summary
AmeriLife is seeking a seasoned Director, IT – CRM Platform to serve as the single-point IT owner for one of AmeriLife’s core Wealth distribution CRM platforms, such as Salesforce, OneHQ, or Kizen.This role is fully accountable for the end-to-end delivery, operational stability, vendor performance, and strategic evolution of a single assigned platform that supports Wealth distribution, affiliate operations, and advisor/agent experiences.
The Director will own outcomes—not execution—within a vendor-led delivery model, providing strong technical leadership, delivery governance, and operational oversight.
This position will initially operate as a Director-level individual contributor with enterprise visibility and accountability, with the expectation to scale into team leadership as platform scope and maturity expand.
Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
Single-Platform Ownership & Accountability
- Serve as the exclusive IT owner for one assigned CRM platform (e.g., Salesforce, OneHQ, or Kizen) supporting Wealth distribution.
- Own platform vision, roadmap, operating model, success metrics, and long-term sustainability.
- Ensure the platform reliably supports day-to-day business operations and evolving strategic needs.
- Act as the final IT authority for platform-related decisions, prioritization, and trade-offs.
Vendor-Led Delivery & Governance
- Oversee all platform development, configuration, testing, and releases performed by vendors or system integrators.
- Validate solution designs, delivery scope, quality, and release readiness before production deployment.
- Ensure vendor delivery aligns with:
- Enterprise architecture standards
- Security and compliance requirements
- Integration and data governance standards
- Hold vendors accountable for outcomes, timelines, quality, documentation, and responsiveness.
- Manage contracts, renewals, roadmap alignment, and performance governance.
Technical Leadership & Integration Oversight
- Provide enterprise-level technical leadership for the assigned CRM platform despite a vendor-led execution model.
- Govern integrations with downstream and adjacent systems such as:
- Contracting and licensing platforms
- Commissions and compensation systems
- Data and analytics platforms
- Identity and access management
- Partner closely with Enterprise Architecture and Data Engineering to ensure scalability, reliability, and data integrity.
- Drive continuous improvement in platform architecture, integration patterns, and performance.
Production Support & Operational Excellence
- Own platform availability, stability, and operational health.
- Define and enforce SLAs, KPIs, monitoring, and escalation procedures with vendors.
- Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.
- Ensure production issues are resolved efficiently with minimal disruption to business users.
- Establish repeatable operating procedures and documentation to support platform maturity and scale.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Operate as a Director-level individual contributor with enterprise-wide accountability and influence.
- Partner effectively with Wealth business leaders, IT leadership, architecture, security, and data teams.
- Communicate proactively and clearly on:
- Platform health
- Delivery status
- Risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans
- Contribute to broader IT governance frameworks while maintaining clear ownership boundaries for the assigned platform.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive IT experience with a strong enterprise application or platform background.
- 5+ years owning or leading enterprise CRM or system-of-engagement platforms.
- Proven success operating in vendor-led delivery models with full accountability for outcomes.
- Strong experience with:
- Enterprise SaaS platforms (e.g., Salesforce, OneHQ, Kizen, or similar)
- API-based integrations and enterprise data flows
- SDLC, Agile delivery, and release management
- Production support, incident management, and SLA governance
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Salesforce, OneHQ, Kizen, or similar CRM / agent / advisor platforms.
- Background supporting Wealth Management, Insurance, or Financial Services distribution models.
- Experience owning advisor portals, agent platforms, CRM experience layers, or digital hubs.
- Strong understanding of security, compliance, data privacy, and regulatory considerations.
- Ability to influence across matrixed organizations without direct authority.
