Position Summary:

Advances IREC’s mission to provide best-in-class, thought-leading investor relations counsel to biotechnology and healthcare companies in the agency setting. Provides high-quality, on-call support to C-level executives and internal corporate communications departments to bolster companies’ corporate strategy and ensure the success of the IR programs. On assigned  accounts, independently drives client account strategy and manages program execution; develops and maintains relationships with clients and supports IREC’s growth and new business efforts. 

Essential duties include but are not limited to:

Client Advisory & Content Excellence

  • Balance of client leadership and mid-level support across 7-10 client accounts (~50/50), with ability to:
    • Conceptualize and execute bespoke strategies
    • Oversee all materials and quality control
    • Act as primary accountable party for day-to-day relationship on clients led, with additional support from senior leadership as needed and for critical workstreams
  • Responsibilities including but not limited to:
    • Lead client calls and provide strategic counsel to senior executives on investor engagement, messaging, and market positioning
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics with ability to speak to macro influences and experience with most IR situations
    • Draft and review technical corporate communications materials to client-ready standard, including investor presentations, press releases, earnings, data readouts; initiate changes in strategy when needed
    • Oversee tactical delivery including more sophisticated research projects (including consensus modeling), targeting analyses, planning and execution of roadshows, meetings and other investor events
    • Manage the planning and execution of roadshows, meetings and other investor events
    • Event planning and on-site support, including occasional travel
  • Manage retainers and ensure accuracy of invoicing
  • 90% utilization target for client billing

  • Train and mentor high-performing teams on client accounts, aligned with our collaborative and purpose-driven culture; oversee its growth and effectively and directly deliver feedback
  • Foster professional growth and uphold principles of client service, purpose, accountability, mutual respect, and collaboration

  • Lead by example, balancing competitive drive with a spirit of collaboration and integrity

Business Development & Market Positioning

  • Support marketing and new business materials, help identify and pitch new business opportunities, contributing to firm growth and book of business
  • Leverage network of stakeholders to accelerate inbound opportunities
  • Cultivate relationships with investors, analysts, and bankers to enhance visibility and credibility
  • Can speak knowledgeably on clients and biotech/healthcare IR; can represent the agency at industry events, conferences, and investor forums

Strategic Leadership

  • Contribute to operational, growth and strategy initiatives for Precision AQ with a sophisticated/leading role in at least one internal workstream
  • Proactively generate ideas and identify opportunities for clients and the firm

Qualifications:

Minimum Required:

  • 6-8 years of relevant depth of work experience (in directly relevant finance, healthcare, communications or consulting roles); agency experience preferred
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects from conception to completion on deadline in a fast-paced team environment and across teams
  • Ability to cultivate network within the investment community and biotech/healthcare ecosystem
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills; high standards of quality control and client service
  • Confident writer and presenter, comfortable in a variety of C-Suite scenarios, with ability to influence
  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Competent in technology-driven environments, including AI and various tools and platforms
  • Independent and collaborative; resourceful problem solver, quick learner

This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Precision, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, health insurance, retirement savings benefits, life insurance and disability benefits, parental leave, and paid time off for sick leave and vacation, among other benefits.
