Job Summary
We are hiring an Investment Analyst to join in our Hong Kong Office. This person will be responsible for delivering high-quality, bottom-up research and analysis on equity markets, especially in internet sector to support portfolio managers and the broader investment team. This role requires strong analytical skills, financial modeling expertise, and the ability to generate actionable investment ideas with conviction.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assessing opportunities on assigned coverage sectors based on rigorous bottom-up fundamental research
- Create and maintain financial models of the targeted companies; clearly present groundwork materials and conclusions to the PM and wider investment team during internal discussions or meetings when needed.
- Review and organize data, synthesize information, identify trends, interpret company and industry data to develop detailed financial models on covered companies
- Analyze economic developments, monitor trends in the various sectors of the economy, and provide forecasts of changes in business conditions and relationships
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher is required
- Fluency in both Mandarin and English, excellent oral and written communication skills
- Minimum of eight years of experience in investment or research analyst positions focusing on Hong Kong and/or China equity markets, with a particular emphasis on the internet sector. Experience within asset management is preferred.
- Highly independent thinker, sound judgement and analytical skills, strong interpersonal skills and information collection capability
- Has initiative and is self-motivated, eager to learn, and interested in taking on new challenges to enhance coverage and build relationships internally and externally
