Job Responsibilities:            

Strategic

  • He/she needs to provide and enhance Foreign Exchange (FX) and interest Rates (IR) products, deliver the core value for MUFG bank to our client, assist HOD/DH to build up FX and IR products under AGMD business.
  • To support in build up the relationship with all stakeholders : sales department, onshore branches and MUS for promoting Derivatives business and increase the customer volumes across EM Asian
  • Lead the development or enhancement of FX and IR Derivative products within the region to ensure they are implemented on-time and on-budget
  • Support the department by reviewing and providing input into presentation material for pitches
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders across various divisions in the Tokyo Head Office, obtaining all requisite approvals and ensuring the approval process runs smoothly.

Financial

  • Through market making under authorized limit, he/she is required to make use of client flow to generate revenue under regulators and internal rules
  • Balance the risk and opportunities to meet individual target, manage own trading position, aligning with MUFG value, provide good service/pricing to clients and make use of the flow to generate revenue for the Bank.
  • Under the supervision of the Head of Department, lead the team to achieve revenue targets, provide quality pricing to clients, balance risk and maximize return for the Bank.

Customer

  • Provide professional knowledge in both of FX and Derivatives market, update market information and trader view as reference for our clients
  • Keep close contact with all stakeholders for better transaction execution collaboration

People

  • Good communications and teamwork with colleagues under Sales & Trading cooperation: further maintain good relationships and share market information across other branches of MUFG
  • Assist HOD/Department Head to train up junior traders

Other/Control

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and limits
  • Maintain good working knowledge of industry trends, products, relevant laws and regulations
  • Adhere to bank policies and compliance training

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum 10 years of banking industry experience along with over 3 years of experience in Trading for derivatives
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a business strategist in Trading or Sales, with a strong track record in global markets products, particularly FX and Interest Rate Derivatives.
  • Minimum JLPT N1 Certification (or equivalent business-level Japanese proficiency) to communicate effectively with stakeholders of various divisions in Tokyo Head Office, as the role requires to obtain all requisite approvals and ensure the approval process runs smoothly in Tokyo.
  • Demonstrated expertise in industry trends and competitor analysis within the FX and Interest Rate Derivatives landscape.
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders and collaborate effectively with multiple departments to achieve business objectives.
  • Solid understanding of legal and accounting principles to evaluate new products and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and advocate for strategic ideas.
  • Strong leadership and managerial capabilities, with experience guiding teams and projects to successful outcomes.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification required.
