The Director of Incentive Planning at T-Mobile is instrumental in shaping the incentive strategies that drive sales performance across the organization. Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior sales leadership and finance to align sales compensation plans and quota targets with business objectives and revenue goals.
  • Develop and oversee the strategy, policies, and governance of all Business Group sales compensation plans, both internal employees and Partners.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales compensation cycle, including plan design, communication, administration, calculation, payment, and reporting.
  • Lead the annual and quarterly sales quota setting and allocation process, ensuring timely and accurate distribution of quotas across regions, segments, and teams.
  • Monitor and analyze sales compensation and quota metrics, trends, and issues, and provide insights and recommendations to optimize sales effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Manage and develop a high-performing team of sales compensation and quota analysts, providing coaching, guidance, and career development.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and legal regulations related to sales compensation and quota management.
  • Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Finance, or related field (Required)
  • Master's/Advanced Degree Business Administration, Financeor Strategic Management (Preferred)
  • Work Experience:

  • 7-10 years Designing and implementing sales compensation plans and quota strategies in a corporate setting (Preferred)
  • 7-10 years Collaborating with senior leadership to align compensation frameworks with business objectives (Preferred)
  • More than 10 years Experience in sales compensation, sales operations, or sales finance, preferably in a SaaS or technology company specifically supporting B2B, across complex business sales segments and partners. (Preferred)
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Sales Management Expertise in managing and strategizing sales processes to enhance team performance and achieve sales targets. With a proven track record of designing and implementing effective and scalable sales compensation plans and quota allocation models. (Required)
  • Business Analysis Ability to perform detailed business analysis to align sales strategies with company goals. (Required)
  • Communication Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives and cross-functional partners. (Required)
  • Cross Functional Relationships Ability to collaborate with various departments to align incentives with company-wide objectives. (Required)
  • People Management Skilled in leading, managing, and developing a team to foster a high-performance sales environment. (Required)
  • Business Acumen Deep understanding of business operations and the ability to link incentive plans with business performance. (Required)
  • Presentations Ability to create and deliver compelling presentations to stakeholders to drive business decisions. (Preferred)
  • Professional Development Focus on continuous professional development and training for the sales team to keep them updated with the latest sales techniques and tools. (Preferred)
  • Senior Management Experience in interacting with and influencing senior management to align sales strategies with organizational goals. (Preferred)
  • Licenses and Certifications:

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) Certification by WorldatWork Society of Certified Professionals, focusing on mastering the art of compensation packages and strategies. (Preferred)
  • Certified Sales Executive (CSE) Certification by Sales and Marketing Executives International (SMEI) that demonstrates expertise in sales management and executive responsibilities. (Preferred)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Internationally recognized certification by the Project Management Institute (PMI) that denotes expertise in project management, useful for managing cross-functional teams in compensation strategy execution. (Preferred)

    Base Pay Range: $174,700 - $236,300

    Corporate Bonus Target: 25%

    The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as qualifications and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.
