We are seeking a dynamic, visible, and people focused Director of Human Resources to join our Executive Leadership Team.

The Director of Human Resources will serve as a strategic partner to the General Manager and hotel leadership team while remaining a trusted and accessible resource for team members throughout the hotel.

You will lead the Human Resources function for a dynamic full service hotel, overseeing talent acquisition, team member relations, leadership development, training, performance management, compensation and benefits, compliance, recognition, workplace safety, and employee engagement.
You will balance the needs of our people with the operational goals of the hotel while championing a culture built around hospitality, accountability, inclusion, recognition, and respect.

Partner with department leaders on staffing, interviewing, selection, onboarding, and retention.
Coach and develop managers and supervisors in leadership, communication, accountability, performance management, and employee relations.
Support training, career development, succession planning, and internal advancement opportunities throughout the hotel.
🤝 TEAM MEMBER RELATIONS & COMPLIANCE
Serve as a trusted resource for team members and leaders regarding workplace concerns, policies, performance, and employment practices.
Conduct timely and objective workplace investigations and coach leaders through corrective action, conflict resolution, and difficult conversations.
Ensure policies and employment practices are administered fairly, consistently, and respectfully.
Maintain compliance with applicable federal, Oregon, and local employment laws and oversee required HR documentation, reporting, personnel records, workplace safety, workers’ compensation, leaves, and accommodations.
🧭 STRATEGIC HR LEADERSHIP
Serve as a strategic business partner to the General Manager and Executive Leadership Team.
Use turnover trends, staffing information, engagement feedback, and workforce data to identify opportunities and recommend solutions.
Participate actively in hotel leadership meetings, departmental meetings, team events, and operational activities.
Connect our people strategy with the hotel’s operational, financial, service, and guest satisfaction objectives.

🎓 WHAT YOU BRING
🎓 Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Organizational Leadership, or related field preferred.
💼 Minimum of four years of progressive Human Resources management experience.
🏨 Full service hotel or hospitality Human Resources leadership experience strongly preferred.
⚖️ Strong knowledge of federal and Oregon employment laws and HR practices.
🤝 Experience with employee relations, investigations, recruiting, performance management, training, and leadership development.
💬 Strong communication, coaching, conflict resolution, and relationship building skills.
💻 Experience with HRIS, applicant tracking, learning management, and other HR technology preferred.
🏅 SHRM CP, SHRM SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus.
