This person will play a key role in helping Colombia continue building on its strengths while further strengthening accountability, business alignment, operational rigor, and manager effectiveness. What You Will Own
Local Strategy Execution
Serve as the primary HR leader for Colombia, translating company and SVP-led strategy into practical local execution
Adapt broader HR initiatives for Colombia in a way that is compliant, credible, and effective
Partner with U.S. HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Finance, Legal, and business leaders to ensure alignment across regions and support effective, timely issue resolution
Serve as the local subject matter expert on Colombian employment practices and statutory requirements, providing practical guidance to global HR, Payroll, and business leaders
Bring options and recommendations that balance business needs, employee experience, compliance, cost, and long-term scalability
Culture, Leadership, and Change
Help strengthen a culture that combines strong employee connection with accountability, sound business judgment, and clear alignment to company priorities
Build relationships and influence across leaders and employees so change is well understood, well supported, and effectively adopted
Coach leaders on expectations, feedback, documentation, talent decisions, and follow-through
Support a consistent leadership approach that builds trust, reinforces clarity, and helps unify teams across Colombia and the U.S.
Employee Relations, Compliance, and Risk
Own employee relations in Colombia, including complex and sensitive matters, in partnership with the SVP of HR and Legal as needed
Ensure strong adherence to Colombian labor law, internal policies, RIT requirements, and employment practices
Guide leaders through investigations, terminations, disciplinary actions, documentation, and organizational changes
Help ensure local practices are sustainable, well-governed, and aligned with company standards
Compensation, Benefits, Payroll Governance, and HR Operations
Partner closely with the SVP of HR, Global Payroll, Finance, and relevant vendors to execute compensation, benefits, and payroll-related practices in Colombia
Drive future-state compensation and benefits changes aligned with global structures and local market realities
Oversee local HR operations, including contracts, letters, offboarding, payroll partnership, and HR data quality
Take a systems-first approach to HR operations by streamlining, modernizing, and scaling processes, tools, controls, and vendor workflows
Improve consistency, efficiency, and employee and manager experience across core HR processes
Talent and Team Leadership
Lead and develop the Colombia HR team
Clarify scope, expectations, priorities, and ways of working across the team to support an effective operating model
Build a strong partnership model across HR, Payroll, Finance, Talent Acquisition, and business leadership
What You Bring
Required Experience
8+ years of progressive HR experience, including meaningful time in a senior HRBP, HR Manager, or HR Director role in Colombia
Strong knowledge of Colombian labor law and HR practice, including employee relations, compliance, terminations, benefits, payroll-related processes, and labor reforms
Experience driving change through a merger, acquisition, integration, or major transformation
Strong experience working in a U.S.-based or U.S.-headquartered company
Proven experience adapting and executing broader company strategy locally
Success strengthening accountability, manager effectiveness, and business-aligned people practices within a high-performing organization
Experience improving, streamlining, modernizing, or scaling disparate HR processes, workflows, or operating models
Sound judgment in sensitive employee relations and risk situations
Fluent Spanish and strong English, written and spoken
Preferred Experience
Experience helping an organization scale and adapt to a new operating model, new ownership, or evolving business expectations
Background in a PE-backed, transformation-oriented, or high-accountability environment
Experience with Workday and HR systems; able to use data and systems to improve execution
