Reporting to the VP, HR, the Director will support a client group and partner with HRBPs across other regions to provide consistency in how Coupa delivers HR programs, initiatives to its employees and aligns Coupa’s HR strategies to the business activities.

How You Will Impact Coupa Every Day

  • Strategic advisor to all the functions operating in the assigned region, acting as a coach and advisor to leaders, managers and employees at all levels
  • Manage a team of HRBPs
  • Demonstrates a combination of country, regional and global HRBP Team leadership mindset
  • Coordinate with HR Centers of Excellence (COE) – Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Talent Strategy, Learning & Development, HR Operations – to effectively manage the successful delivery of professional HR support
  • Partner with stakeholders such as Corporate Communications in developing communication plans needed for organizational change
  • Understand functional and regional business strategies to align the business strategies with regional and global HR priorities
  • Be the face of HR to all external bodies, including regulatory authorities and government agencies within the region
  • Design, implement and execute HR initiatives, ensuring consistent implementation while standardizing as much as possible across the region and global HR Team.
  • Ensure regular review of all country/regional policies and processes, drafting and implementing any that are not in place
  • Ensure Coupa is fully compliant and up to date with local regulatory requirements and employment laws

What You Will Bring To Coupa

  • Minimum of 10 years of HR business partner experience
  • Previous experience managing teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to implement and/or improve how things are done within the team
  • Understanding of, and experience with, core aspects of Human Resource Management (staffing; employee relations; labor relations; performance management; leadership development; training)
  • Previous talent management and succession planning experience preferred
  • Proven ability to influence decision making; courage to make tough decisions and deliver difficult messages with professional and poise
  • Must possess consultative style and approach with proven ability to develop credible relationships
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous business situations; highly adaptable to a fluid and ever-changing work environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Ability to analyze data and gather insights
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Exercise a high degree of professionalism and diplomacy in interactions with all levels of the organization
  • Strong experience and demonstrated skills in handling a variety of employee relations matters
  • Excellent follow-through skills and the ability to anticipate and address business needs proactively
  • Possess a strong work ethic; self-motivated with a desire to take initiative and look for ways to improve processes and create efficiencies; have a strong sense of urgency
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills in managing through multiple priorities with overlapping tasks across multiple businesses
  • Team-oriented attitude balanced with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Maintains strict confidentiality and adheres to a high standard of professional conduct
  • Strong knowledge in employment laws; multi-jurisdiction experience preferred
