Position Overview:

Reporting into the VP, Technology, the Director, Hosting Operations is responsible for guiding and directing the hosting operations team to streamline hosting operations, ensure the effectiveness and the efficiency of delivery and production support, and provide reliability, availability, security, scalability, performance, and regulatory compliance of endpoint delivery and hosting environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of SRE, DevOps, and Data Ops engineers, build, develop, retain, and motivate a high-performing team
  • Oversee all aspects of hosting operations to support product delivery and hosting
  • Create overall strategy and execution plan for hosting operations
  • Collaborate with other teams to build and improve infrastructure and tooling and adopt and tune best practices to ensure reliability, availability, security, scalability, performance, and regulatory compliance
  • Establish and enforce policies, guidelines, and best practices in every aspect of hosting operations to streamline product delivery and support processes
  • Support other departments such as sales, marketing, operation and serve as the escalation point for all hosting operation related issues
  • Assist with the internal and client auditing and compliance certification efforts such as for SOC 2 and ISO
  • Manage budgets, plan resources, and maximize ROI for hosting operations
  • Perform other related duties as required

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent and/or appropriate experience.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering and operations
  • 6+ years of experience in team supervision with progression in team size and responsibility level
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing global teams and building cohesive organization
  • Proven track record in delivery and maintenance of highly reliable, available, secure, scalable, performant, and regulation-compliant product delivery and hosting environments, both on-prem and in cloud.
  • SME-level understanding of technologies and principles in infrastructure, DevOps, Data Ops, SRE, and InfoSec
  • Strong expertise in SOC 2 and ISO certification
