About This Role
Biogen’s Marketing teams are on the front lines every day, ensuring that our products have the right visibility for the patients who need them most. We manage global brands, support Biogen’s existing portfolio of therapies and help prepare new drug approvals for launch. We work from a deep understanding of the science behind our therapies and the disease areas that they treat.
You will play a critical role within the U.S. Alzheimer’s HCP Marketing team, serving in a key leadership position with high visibility, and owning the development and execution of brand strategies and plans. Reporting to the Head of Alzheimer’s Disease Marketing, you will innovate and evolve Biogen’s industry-leading portfolio, improving patient outcomes for millions.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with Eisai alliance on the development of U.S. HCP Marketing brand plans, supporting near-term strategy and execution in close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Serve as U.S. HCP Marketing engagement strategist, designing creative campaigns, message development, and ensuring consistent messaging throughout the field and alignment within the broader organization. Develop programs and tools for optimal sales force effectiveness.
- Engage confidently with executive leadership and distill complex strategies into clear, actionable guidance for cross-functional and junior team members.
- Contribute as a thought leader on cross-functional Alzheimer strategy projects which require input from and have implications for functions outside of commercial.
- Understand pricing and reimbursement dynamics to identify obstacles and develop strategies and recommendations to address market challenges.
- Conduct in-depth competitive assessments as necessary to provide insightful, actionable information regarding relevant business opportunities.
- Ensure that all marketing communications support plan objectives and are an effective expenditure of resources.
- Use data, analytics, and a deep understanding of the customer to define the customer strategy and impact measurement approach
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge and an accurate assessment of the competitive landscape. Identify future market dynamics and opportunities to guide and refine the U.S. strategy.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with thought leaders, key customers, distributors, vendors, consultants, and professional organizations which advance Biogen’s business.

Qualifications
- 8-10 years of broad Commercial experience with 5 years of Marketing experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry or equivalent
- Experience within Alzheimer preferred; experience in Neurology and/or specialty markets strongly preferred
- Experience in alliance management, HCP strategy and pull through strongly preferred
- Experience in sales and other areas within Commercial highly desired (i.e. market access, market insights, sales management, etc.).
- Proven ability to communicate with impact—demonstrating executive presence with senior leaders while simplifying complex concepts for diverse audiences.
- Proven experience in the development and execution of marketing strategies which achieve/exceed business objectives
- Experience in driving results in a highly competitive marketplace strongly preferred
- Strong scientific/medical aptitude, ability to communicate complex scientific/medical concepts in a simple and understandable manner
Additional Information
Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
