Job Description:

Join Sun Life's Client Solutions Centre (CSC) and lead breakthrough growth initiatives at the intersection of digital wealth, financial advice, and retirement planning. Reporting to the AVP, Growth & Execution within Sun Life Canada Group Retirement Services (GRS), you'll discover and incubate net-new growth opportunities that deepen member value and deliver measurable business impact. The CSC uniquely combines licensed advisors with a cutting-edge digital platform, supporting both active plan members and those transitioning through or remaining in Group Choices, our flagship post-employment offering.

What will you do?

Drive Growth Discovery & Experimentation

  • Own the end-to-end pipeline of growth opportunities—from hypothesis through validation to business case
  • Monitor digital wealth, fintech, and retirement market trends to identify high-potential opportunities
  • Design and orchestrate execution of structured tests (A/B tests, MVPs, pilots) using data, client insights, and market research
  • Build and sequence a dynamic portfolio of experiments that continuously evolve our offerings

Scale Winning Initiatives

  • Orchestrate cross-functional launches that transition successful pilots into business-as-usual operations
  • Develop compelling business cases with rigorous financial modeling, KPIs, and ROI projections
  • Transform learnings into actionable strategies with clear scale-ready roadmaps
  • Champion member-centric experience design and activation strategies

Lead Through Influence

  • Drive alignment and execution across diverse stakeholder groups including Product, Marketing, Data & Analytics, Sales, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Legal
  • Communicate insights through compelling storytelling that inspires action
  • Cultivate a culture of experimentation, rapid iteration, and continuous learning

What do you need to succeed?

  • 7–10+ years in digital wealth management, fintech, or consumer financial services
  • Direct-to-consumer expertise with robo-advisors, fintech platforms, digital banks, or similar
  • Proven experimentation track record – designed, ran, and scaled pilots or new product features from concept to launch
  • Entrepreneurial DNA – demonstrated success navigating ambiguity and creating clarity
  • Analytical excellence – transform complex data into actionable insights and growth strategies
  • Cross-functional orchestration – build consensus and drive execution across multidisciplinary teams
  • Communication mastery – influence stakeholders at all levels through compelling narratives

Preferred

  • Deep understanding of investing, portfolio construction, and savings behaviors
  • Experience with agile delivery frameworks and lean startup methodologies
  • Bilingualism (French/English) required for Quebec postings only

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
