Role Overview 

This role owns Rocket Now’s growth end‑to‑end in a business that is heavily driven by growth marketing, with direct impact on GMV, acquisition efficiency, and sustainable unit economics. Day to day, you will lead the evolution toward a more self‑serve, in‑house performance marketing model—owning core channels, improving creative execution, and strengthening measurement and decision‑making. You will partner closely with Product teams to drive results through both marketing execution and product‑led initiatives, drawing inspiration from highly disciplined, performance‑driven commerce platforms. As a hands‑on leader, you will build and develop the team over time, setting the operating model, talent bar, and culture needed to deliver fast, efficient, and scalable growth.


What You Will Do

  • Own Rocket Now’s growth end‑to‑end, driving customer acquisition, order growth, GMV, and market share with full accountability for unit economics and ROI.
  • Define and execute a performance‑driven growth strategy, identifying step‑change opportunities while continuously raising the bar on speed, scale, and efficiency.
  • Lead performance marketing across all major paid channels, owning large budgets and optimizing the full funnel from acquisition through retention.
  • Build and evolve a strong in‑house, self‑serve performance marketing capability, improving execution quality, creative output, and measurement rigor.
  • Drive data‑first decision making through robust attribution, experimentation, and ROI modeling in close partnership with Data and Engineering teams.
  • Operate as a senior cross‑functional leader, working closely with Product, Pricing, Merchant, and Operations teams to unlock sustainable growth.
  • Relentlessly optimize efficiency by improving CAC, ROAS, and payback while balancing short‑term performance with long‑term customer value.

Basic Qualifications

  • Proven experience owning growth or performance marketing with direct responsibility for acquisition outcomes and business metrics.
  • Hands‑on experience operating and optimizing core performance marketing channels in a self‑serve, in‑house environment.
  • Strong analytical and data‑driven mindset, with experience using experimentation, attribution, and metrics to guide decisions.
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience, with a track record of building teams and driving high execution standards.
  • Excellent communication and interperonsal skills partnering cross‑functionally with Product, Data, and Operations to deliver business impact beyond marketing alone.
  • Fluent Japanese and business-level English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience scaling growth in a high‑velocity consumer, marketplace, or on‑demand business.
  • Track record of reducing agency dependency and building durable internal performance marketing capabilities.
  • Familiarity with highly disciplined, performance‑driven commerce or platform models.
  • Business‑level Japanese proficiency with the ability to operate effectively in a Japanese corporate environment.
  • Background in e-commerce or cross-border environments.
