Helion is the nation’s largest Managed IT, cybersecurity, compliance, and technology enablement provider dedicated exclusively to the automotive and heavy truck dealership industry. For nearly 30 years, we’ve helped dealerships leverage technology to improve operations, strengthen cybersecurity, ensure regulatory compliance, enable AI adoption, and maximize the value of their technology investments.

Today, Helion supports more than 2,000 dealerships and over 35,000 dealership employees across the United States. As we enter our next phase of growth, we’re looking for an exceptional marketing leader to help expand our market presence, accelerate demand generation, and strengthen our position as the technology leader in the dealership industry.

Position Overview and Qualifications:

We're looking for an experienced Director of Growth Marketing to help shape our next chapter of growth.

This isn't a traditional marketing position focused on executing campaigns, managing social media, or maintaining a website. We're seeking a strategic, relationship-driven marketing leader who understands how to identify market opportunities, develop industry partnerships, build effective account-based marketing programs, and translate marketing investments into measurable business growth.

You'll work directly with our President, Sales leadership, and fractional CMO to develop growth strategies, expand Helion's market presence, and lead a modern marketing function supported by specialized agencies and external partners.

What You'll Do

Lead Growth Marketing Strategy

  • Develop marketing strategies that drive customer acquisition, expand market share, and generate qualified sales opportunities.
  • Identify new growth opportunities through industry research, competitive intelligence, and market analysis.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership and Sales to align marketing investments with revenue objectives.

Own Account-Based Marketing (ABM)

  • Develop and lead targeted marketing programs focused on high-value automotive and heavy-truck dealership groups.
  • Work with Sales to identify priority accounts, understand decision-makers, and create personalized engagement strategies.
  • Leverage marketing technology, account intelligence, and multichannel campaigns to generate meaningful sales opportunities.

Build Strategic Industry Partnerships

  • Establish and cultivate relationships with automotive dealer associations, dealership-focused accounting and advisory firms, private equity groups, industry consultants, and technology partners.
  • Identify referral, co-marketing, sponsorship, and business development opportunities that expand Helion's industry influence.
  • Develop relationships that connect Helion with dealership owners, executives, and other influential decision-makers.

Lead Conferences & Industry Engagement

  • Own Helion's conference, trade show, and industry event strategy.
  • Identify high-value events, manage sponsorship investments, and coordinate participation across Sales, Account Management, and executive leadership.
  • Ensure industry events and partnerships translate into measurable business opportunities.

Direct Marketing Partners & Performance

  • Provide strategic direction to external marketing agencies, consultants, and specialized execution resources.
  • Oversee marketing initiatives involving SEO, AEO/GEO, digital campaigns, CRM, content, and executive thought leadership.
  • Manage marketing priorities, budgets, and performance metrics with an emphasis on pipeline contribution and return on investment.
What We're Looking For
  • 7+ years of progressive B2B marketing experience, including growth strategy, demand generation, or account-based marketing.
  • Experience in automotive retail, automotive dealership technology/services, or the MSP/MSSP industry is required.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute account-based marketing strategies targeting complex B2B organizations.
  • Experience building strategic partnerships, referral networks, or relationship-driven growth programs.
  • Strong understanding of B2B sales cycles, executive decision-makers, and revenue-focused marketing.
  • Experience managing external marketing agencies, vendors, or outsourced resources.
  • Working knowledge of HubSpot or comparable CRM platforms, marketing automation, digital marketing, and modern demand generation tools.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, analytical, and strategic planning skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate directly with executive leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Willingness to travel for conferences, industry events, and strategic partner meetings.

Especially attractive: Candidates with established relationships in the automotive dealership industry, experience marketing managed IT or cybersecurity services, or demonstrated success developing ABM programs and strategic partnerships.

Skills Required

  • 8+ years of progressive B2B marketing leadership experience
  • Advanced experience administering HubSpot CRM and Marketing Hub
  • Demonstrated success building demand generation programs that produce measurable pipeline growth
  • Deep experience with marketing automation, CRM administration, lead lifecycle management, segmentation, workflows, attribution, and campaign reporting
  • Strong understanding of SEO and familiarity with AEO, GEO, and AI search optimization strategies
  • Experience managing websites, digital marketing, email marketing, and conversion optimization
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional marketing initiatives using direct execution, AI-enabled workflows, and outsourced specialists
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret marketing metrics and make data-driven decisions
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with excellent project management skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with a high degree of ownership
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • Experience marketing technology solutions, cybersecurity services, Managed Services, or SaaS
  • Experience marketing to automotive retail or heavy truck dealerships
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, WordPress, and modern AI marketing tools
  • HubSpot, Google Analytics, or related marketing certifications
