About the Role

We're seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Global Pricing & Partnerships to lead the company's global pricing strategy while driving growth through agent, client, and partner relationships. This role oversees pricing operations across multiple markets, negotiates rates and agreements with logistics and freight providers, and leads the development and retention of key business partnerships.

The ideal candidate brings a strong combination of pricing expertise, commercial acumen, relationship management, and leadership experience. You'll play a critical role in ensuring pricing remains competitive and profitable, transportation costs are effectively managed, and relationships with agents, clients, and partners continue to grow and thrive.

What You’ll Do

  • Global Pricing
    • Oversee the pricing team, including global pricing strategy, pricing models, and approval authority.
    • Establish pricing across regions and markets, accounting for currency fluctuations, local competition, and cost variations.
    • Ensure pricing strategies support business growth while meeting margin objectives.
    • Review and approve non-standard pricing proposals and deal structures.
    • Monitor market conditions, costs, and competitor activity and recommend pricing adjustments as needed.
    Logistics & Freight Rates
    • Negotiate rates and service terms with logistics, freight, and carrier providers across all transportation modes and lanes.
    • Lead rate bid processes and benchmark freight costs against market conditions.
    • Incorporate freight and logistics costs into pricing models to ensure quotes accurately reflect the cost of service.
    • Monitor carrier performance, cost trends, and contract renewals, renegotiating agreements as markets evolve.
    Business Development & Relationship Management
    • Develop and execute strategies to grow revenue through new and existing agent, client, and partner relationships.
    • Identify and pursue new clients, partners, and market opportunities, including opportunities generated through agents and partners.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with agents, partners, and key clients, driving retention, satisfaction, and growth.
    • Maintain a pipeline to track business opportunities and forecast expected revenue.
    • Conduct regular business reviews with major agents, partners, and clients.
    • Serve as the senior escalation point for agent, partner, and client concerns.
    • Represent the company at industry events and in meetings with prospective partners and clients.
    Contracts & Agreements
    • Lead the negotiation and execution of contracts with agents, partners, suppliers, clients, and logistics providers.
    • Structure agreements that support long-term business relationships while protecting the company's interests.
    • Partner with Legal and Finance to manage risk and establish contract terms and approval processes.
    • Track contract renewals, expirations, and obligations across the portfolio.
    Leadership
    • Lead, develop, and evaluate team members responsible for pricing, transportation, and relationship management.
    • Establish goals and report on key performance metrics, including margins, freight cost savings, new business revenue, and retention.
    • Advise senior leadership on pricing strategies, logistics costs, and significant business opportunities.
