We’re seeking a Global Partner Marketing leader to join our Strategic Marketing team to help elevate our partnership efforts with a wide variety of global partners.
About the team:
The Strategic Marketing team is responsible for brand, content, creative and global product and partner marketing. This team works closely with digital marketing, corporate communications, PR and our field marketing teams.
The role:
The global partner marketing director will be responsible for identifying marketing opportunities with our largest strategic partners - which includes card schemes, technology providers, integrators and more - in order to rollout marketing plans and campaigns that are mutually beneficial to all parties and deliver on shared KPIs.
The workload of this role will be split between working directly with our most important partners and program management for various partner marketing projects.
What you will be doing:
- Serve as the marketing counterpart to our global partnership relationship managers and leaders
- Find new opportunities for marketing activity with our biggest global partners – you need to be exceptionally creative, pro-active and drive projects from concept to completion. You need to be strategic and tactical at the same time.
- This is a senior individual contributor role that will need strong communication skills to coordinate across multiple functions including in-field partner marketers and local marketing teams
- Build and maintain results-driven relationships with key partners, driving demand and adoption of joint services and products through and with these partners
- Create a holistic global partner marketing strategy and mission/vision and evangelise that throughout the business
- Translate global activities into local go-to-market plans through close collaboration with local marketing teams and regional partner marketing managers - providing guidance, education and playbooks.
- Act as the primary marketing contact for Worldpay’s strategic partnership leadership team
- Build exceptional marketing team-to-marketing team relationships with our global partners. Expect to be meeting regularly with the marketing teams of our biggest global partners and often travelling internationally to do so.
- Work with our customer advocacy team to identify and externally promote partner advocacy
What you bring:
- Creativity and passion for creating exceptional results-driven multi-channel marketing campaigns. You’ll need to demonstrate both brand and commercial acumen.
- You may be working on events, thought leadership, paid media or PR and need to show versatility and confidence in which marketing levers to pull to get the desired outcomes
- A proven track record of successful marketing initiatives with partners - and a portfolio of successful real-life examples
- Ability to provide practical and succinct overviews and reporting on the success and metrics of campaigns to senior leaders internally and externally
- 10+ years experience in marketing, the majority preferably in the payments or fintech industry, with at least 3 years in a partner marketing role
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills,
- The ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities. You will need to be a self-starter who can come up with the ideas and drive them forward
- Ability to understand complex technology/payments products, trends and concepts. From acquiring to orchestration, fraud management and payouts and everything in between.
- Ability to travel internationally 20%
- You’ll most likely be based in London, but other locations in the US or Europe are also possible.
