The Director, Global Business Intelligence will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive business intelligence strategy that aligns with the organization's overall goals and objectives. Will assist in steering data-driven decision-making processes within the organization. This role will be responsible creating roadmaps for data analytics projects, and establishing data governance policies and procedures. They will oversee market research, monitor competitive activity, and identify customer needs, apply broad knowledge of company’s product / service capabilities and competitive environment to identify new growth areas, new technology and emerging product / service opportunities. Evaluate in-depth market analysis and leads business case for optimization of business solutions. This position is an individual contributor role which is primarily technical but also contains a strategic view that requires extensive industry experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Market Insights and Strategy Development:
- Identify and capitalize on business opportunities, conduct thorough market analysis, and create actionable strategies to achieve the company's objectives.
- Engage external business and industry experts to learn and influence business strategies, being alert to opportunities for growth.
- Conduct comprehensive market research, trend analysis, and customer segmentation to identify unmet needs, emerging opportunities, and risks.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to enter new markets or target new customer segments, measured by market penetration metrics and revenue growth in the new markets.
Data Strategy Development and Implementation:
- Responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive business intelligence strategy that aligns with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
- Creating roadmaps for data analytics projects, establishing data governance policies and procedures, and ensuring that all initiatives are properly resourced and prioritized.
Technology and Infrastructure Oversight
- Responsible for selecting and implementing tools and platforms that meet the organization's needs. This includes ensuring data security and compliance, overseeing data warehouse architecture and design, and managing the integration of new technologies and tools.
Financial Planning, Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Develop the Business Case methodology – establish a standardized way for leadership to test new business initiatives that are candidate projects or programs including but not limited to: scorecard/benchmarking of initiatives, assessing project prioritization, and evaluating risk assessments.
- Lead the development of financial models and ROI analyses to prioritize investments in product development and marketing initiatives.
- Responsible for developing KPIs and metrics that measure business performance.
- The role involves creating executive dashboards and reports, conducting predictive and prescriptive analytics, and providing insights that inform business decisions.
Foster Strategic Partnerships:
- Establish and nurture inorganic partnerships with complementary businesses or influencers to amplify brand reach and drive mutually beneficial growth.
- Build partnerships organically within the Siemens Healthineer’s ecosystem to foster new product and service development.
- Build external partnerships with industry societies, medical societies, hospital groups and research firms to drive insights, research relationships which support the advancement of therapies, technology development and research.
Stakeholder Management and Communication
- Communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders, including C-level executives, department heads, and other business leaders.
- The role involves presenting insights and recommendations, collaborating with stakeholders to identify data needs, and educating non-technical staff on data interpretation and analysis.
- Plays a critical role in driving business success and achieving strategic objectives.
- The role requires a unique blend of technical, business, and leadership skills, as well as the ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Leadership and Team Development:
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
- Leads a team of analysts, data scientists, and other professionals.
- The role involves hiring and mentoring team members, fostering a data-driven culture within the organization, and managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Qualifications
- Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge: Ability, competence, and confidence to lead people.
- A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration is typically required for a Business Intelligence Director role.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- 10 years of related experience
- Highly experienced with Data Analytics tools and MS Suite
Working Conditions
- Over 90% of the time is spent indoors, with protection from weather conditions.
- Exposure to noise levels that may be distracting or uncomfortable is present in only unusual situations. Travel 25-35%.

The annual base pay for this position is:
Min $176,100 - Max $264,100Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
