The Director of Finance is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external guests while leading the overall performance and day‑to‑day operations of the Finance Department. This role is accountable for financial integrity, compliance, and strategic financial leadership across all assigned functions.
The Director of Finance oversees Accounting, Purchasing, Count Team, Cage Team, and Corporate Reporting, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective internal controls, and operational efficiency. This position partners closely with property leadership to support business objectives, drive financial performance, and uphold Caesars Entertainment’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
This position is an on‑site leadership role based in Columbus, Nebraska.
Responsibilities- Adhere to department service standards of accuracy, consistency and trustworthy and adhere to the leadership standards of timely, effective and empathetic
- Interact with all guests and employees to positively affect interactions with guests and employees and demonstrate resiliency to deal with difficult situations in all types of business conditions. Work effectively and courteously with fellow employees
- Responsible for planning, communicating and implementing procedures for the overall efficient operation of areas of responsibilities
- Responsible for coordinating the accurate preparation and distribution of the property’s financial reporting. Monitor and analyze results of financial performance
- Manage property cash and ensures accuracy of balance sheet
- Responsible for maintaining department compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, government regulations, and internal controls
- Actively participates in the property executive management staff
- Review staffing levels to maintain optimum levels of employment
- Delegate authority and assign responsibilities as needed
- Responsible for the oversight of the development, interviewing, hiring, and evaluating finance department employees
- Review financial activities with General Manager, Directors, and Managers as necessary
- Facilitates the monthly P&L meetings with all departments
- Acts as company liaison with internal and external auditors, to maintain compliance with standard operating procedures, and internal controls
- Maintains interpersonal working relationships among all employees
- Oversee the annual budgeting & forecasting processes
- Assumes overall responsibility relative to the performance of the Finance Department and the property
- Issue performance documents, including disciplinary actions and performance review
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Completes all company-required training within designated time frames
- Proficient in English verbal and written
- Proficient with iOS devices
- Post Secondary Education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field required
- Past progressive experience in finance or accounting, with casino, gaming, hospitality, or highly regulated environment preferred
- Demonstrated leadership over cross functional teams
- Ability to interpret and analyze complex financial data and present finding to executive leadership
- Strong strategic, analytical and decision making skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop higher performing teams
- High level of integrity, discretion and accountability

- Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and kneel repetitively
- Ability to obtain and maintain Nebraska Gaming License
- Ability to work on-site and support business needs outside of standard office hours as required
