onsemi is seeking a Director, Finance – Power Solutions Group (PSG) to serve as the senior finance leader and strategic business partner for one of the company’s most important growth organizations. This leader will own the financial narrative, shape business-unit strategy, guide investment and resource-allocation decisions, and drive disciplined execution across the P&L.
PSG is central to onsemi’s intelligent power strategy, including silicon carbide (SiC), MOSFETs, IGBTs, and advanced power modules serving automotive, industrial, AI data center and power infrastructure, energy, and other high-value applications. The ideal candidate combines executive presence, financial rigor, commercial and operational judgment, a fiduciary mindset, and the ability to translate complex business dynamics into clear decisions and measurable outcomes.
• Serve as the principal finance advisor to the PSG executive leader and leadership team, bringing independent, fact-based counsel to the most consequential strategic and operating decisions.
• Co-author the business-unit strategy and long-range value-creation roadmap, connecting markets, design wins, product roadmaps, pricing, mix, capacity, and cost structure to financial outcomes.
• Lead executive operating reviews and translate customer, product, market, and operational signals into a concise performance narrative, decisive recommendations, and accountable actions.
• Partner across product lines, sales, operations, supply chain, engineering, accounting, and corporate finance to resolve tradeoffs, improve execution, and allocate resources to the highest-value opportunities.
• Author scenarios that identify risks and opportunities early and guide decisions across portfolio priorities, customer programs, capital deployment, and cost productivity.
• Act with a fiduciary mindset by safeguarding company resources, balancing growth with risk-adjusted returns, and recommending actions in the best long-term interests of onsemi and its stakeholders.
• Drive disciplined capital allocation and investment governance through clear business cases, assumptions, milestones, post-investment reviews, and corrective actions.
• Ensure forecast integrity, reporting accuracy, strong internal controls, and compliance with corporate policies, accounting standards, and public-company requirements.
• Set and execute an AI-first roadmap for PSG Finance, embedding responsible AI, automation, and advanced analytics into planning, forecasting, performance management, and decision support.
Required
• 12+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including substantial FP&A, business-unit finance, commercial finance, or operational finance responsibility.
• Demonstrated success as a senior finance partner to a general manager, group president, or executive leadership team in a complex, product-based business.
• Meaningful P&L leadership experience and a history of shaping strategy, resource allocation, and operating outcomes—not only reporting results.
• Exceptional financial modeling, executive communication, strategic thinking, and judgment, with the ability to simplify complexity without losing rigor. Familiarity with generative AI technologies and the ability to identify opportunities to improve productivity, decision-making, and business outcomes through AI-enabled solutions.
• Strong fiduciary orientation and experience operating within disciplined controls, governance, and public-company expectations.
• Working fluency with modern analytics, automation, and AI-enabled finance capabilities, with sound judgment regarding responsible deployment and controls.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
Preferred
• MBA, CPA, CMA, or other relevant advanced credentials.
• Semiconductor, electronics, industrial technology, automotive, energy, or complex manufacturing experience.
• Experience with product-line economics, manufacturing and supply-chain finance, pricing, customer investment decisions, and capital-intensive businesses.
• Experience leading finance transformation, enterprise data initiatives, or scaled AI and automation use cases.
