Cadence Innovations Group (CIG) is a holding company operating a portfolio of businesses in the automotive, insurance, and services sectors. Position SummaryWe are hiring a Director of Finance & Accounting to lead day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting across Cadence Innovations Group and its entities. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of the financial close, the production of entity-level and consolidated financial statements, and the management of the finance and accounting team. The Director reports to the CFO and partners closely with operating-company leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Own the monthly and annual close across all CIG entities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and intercompany eliminations.
- Produce accurate, timely entity-level and consolidated financial statements and management reporting.
- Lead, supervise, and develop the finance and accounting team; set priorities, review work, and ensure coverage across close, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts; establish and enforce internal controls and accounting policies.
- Manage intercompany transactions, allocations, and consolidations across the entity structure.
- Coordinate external audit and tax engagements; serve as the primary liaison to outside auditors and tax advisors.
- Own and administer the ERP system (Acumatica), including configuration, integrations, and data integrity.
- Support treasury functions including cash management, bank reconciliations, and cash reporting.
- Support entity-specific accounting needs, including reinsurance and captive-related accounting for the insurance businesses.
- Partner with the CFO and operating leaders on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including multi-entity or consolidated environments.
- 3-5 years demonstrated experience leading and supervising an accounting team.
- Strong technical accounting foundation (US GAAP) and experience owning the close and financial statement process.
- Hands-on ERP experience; Acumatica experience a plus.
- Experience in insurance, warranty, automotive, or financial services a plus.
- High attention to accuracy, strong follow-through, and clear written and verbal communication.
