What Cardinal Health at-Home Solutions contributes to Cardinal Health
Cardinal Health at-Home Solutions provides direct-to-patient delivery of medical supplies and equipment, serving over 5 million patients annually to manage chronic conditions and support hospital-at-home programs. This business is launching a multi-year transformation to modernize our Finance and Accounting system with the implementation of Oracle Fusion. To support this effort, we are seeking a highly experienced Director, Finance and Accounting Transformation to serve as the single-threaded leader for all finance and accounting workstreams.
This role will own the functional design, cross-functional alignment, data readiness, process redesign, controls, testing, and go-live readiness for the Oracle ERP implementation. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future-state financial architecture and drive long-term operational excellence.
Location - Fully remote, open to candidates based nationwide
Responsibilities
- Program Leadership & Governance: Serve as the primary business owner for all Finance/Accounting ERP workstreams. Lead day-to-day coordination with IT, implementation partners, and business leaders. Manage scope, timeline, risks, dependencies, and decision-making for the finance domain. Establish and maintain governance processes, including design sign-offs and issue escalation paths
- Oracle ERP Functional Ownership: Provide hands-on leadership for the design and configuration of GL, AP, AR, FA, Cash Management, and related modules. Define future-state accounting processes aligned with Oracle Fusion capabilities, industry best practices and Cardinal Health policies and procedures. Own the design of the chart of accounts, accounting calendar, ledgers, intercompany structure, and subledger–to–GL flows in compliance with Cardinal Health policies and procedures. Evaluate design tradeoffs and ensure solutions meet both statutory and management reporting needs.
- Accounting Expertise & Controls: Ensure all system designs comply with GAAP, internal controls, and SOX requirements. Validate entries, workflow design, approval hierarchies, and month-end close impacts in compliance with Cardinal Health policies and procedures. Serve as the primary liaison with auditors on ERP-related assessments and control design.
- Data, Testing & Cutover: Oversee data conversion strategy, including mapping, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation. Lead UAT planning and execution across Finance/Accounting teams. Develop and manage cutover plans for go-live, including close readiness and subledger transitions. Ensure hypercare support structure is in place post–go-live.
- Change Management & Communication: Prepare accounting and finance teams for new processes, roles, responsibilities, and timelines. Collaborate with training and PMO teams to build user training materials and documentation. Communicate risks, decisions, and impacts clearly and consistently across all levels of the organization.
- Post–Go-Live Optimization: Lead stabilization efforts across the first several month-end closes. Drive continuous improvements, automation, and process enhancements across the Oracle platform and downstream systems/workflow. Own long-term optimization roadmap for finance systems and data integrity.
