ATI is seeking a Director, Enterprise Applications, to lead and mature the company’s enterprise application function during a critical period of transformation.
This leader will immediately assume responsibility for Oracle EBS and PSIMetals and will play a critical role in stabilizing and delivering application components of a major business unit transformation where ERP, MES, analytics, and LIMS capabilities are being deployed. The role will likely enter the program during UAT, go-live preparation, and hyper care readiness, requiring someone who can quickly assess delivery risk, strengthen accountability, and help drive execution to closure.
Beyond the immediate transformation priority, this leader will help build ATI’s future enterprise applications operating model, mature application delivery practices, strengthen managed services governance, and contribute to ATI’s long-term ERP and enterprise applications strategy.
This role requires a hands-on enterprise applications leader who can operate effectively at both strategic and execution levels. The successful candidate must be able to quickly assess current-state gaps, challenge assumptions, drive accountability, improve delivery discipline, build team capability, and establish a stronger culture of ownership, execution excellence, and customer value. This role is based in Dallas, Texas at our corporate headquarters and reports to the VP, Digital Technology.
Immediate Priorities- Lead Oracle EBS and PSIMetals application execution through UAT, go-live readiness, cutover support, and hyper care.
- Actively intervene where needed to stabilize delivery, resolve execution gaps, and improve team performance.
- Ensure ERP and PSIMetals workstreams are coordinated effectively with MES, analytics, LIMS, integration, and business process dependencies.
- Ensure requirements, solution decisions, testing readiness, issue resolution, and business process alignment are managed with discipline and urgency.
- Evaluate current team structure, skills, performance, and internal/external delivery mix; make changes within budget authority as needed.
- Own the Accenture managed services relationship for ERP and mature the operating model, governance, performance expectations, knowledge transfer, and accountability mechanisms.
- Partner closely with BU transformation leadership, functional DT leaders, BU DT leaders, enterprise architecture, infrastructure, security, and application teams to drive execution and readiness.
- Build and mature ATI’s future enterprise application capability across a broader enterprise application portfolio.
- Support enterprise ownership and governance across Oracle EBS/future ERP platforms, PSIMetals, OneStream, Kronos, FIS/Get Paid, MercuryGate, LabVantage LIMS, Maximo, and future enterprise business applications.
- Mature ATI’s enterprise application practices across solution ownership, SDLC, release management, testing, support, vendor governance, application lifecycle management, business transformation support, and enterprise application architecture.
- Build and mature a scalable enterprise applications function capable of supporting ATI’s current operations and future transformation roadmap.
- Lead Oracle EBS and PSIMetals teams with a focus on execution quality, accountability, business process alignment, and operational stability.
- Establish clear ownership across applications, workstreams, roles, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Create a culture of proactive issue resolution, fact-based decision-making, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
- Assess and upgrade team capability through coaching, role clarity, upskilling, restructuring, hiring, or changes to delivery model where needed.
- Step directly into active transformation delivery and provide leadership across ERP and PSIMetals application readiness.
- Drive UAT readiness, defect resolution, cutover preparation, go-live support, and hyper care planning.
- Ensure application teams are operating with clear priorities, disciplined execution, and strong alignment to program outcomes.
- Identify material risks quickly and bring forward options, tradeoffs, and recommendations.
- Partner with program leadership to ensure application delivery is aligned with overall transformation objectives, timing, and business outcomes.
- Establish and mature ATI’s application SDLC across requirements, design, build, test, release, change control, production readiness, and support.
- Standardize delivery practices and quality expectations across enterprise applications.
- Bring practical experience using AI to improve delivery productivity, requirements quality, testing, documentation, support, and application lifecycle management.
- Build the capability to continuously improve delivery performance through stronger process discipline, automation, AI enablement, and metrics.
- Own ERP managed services governance with Accenture and mature the relationship from stabilization toward sustained performance.
- Define and manage service expectations, performance metrics, escalation paths, knowledge transfer, and accountability mechanisms.
- Evaluate the appropriate internal/external mix for current and future application support and delivery.
- Help evolve ATI’s broader application run model across internally managed, vendor-supported, and managed services environments.
- Serve as a key contributor to ATI’s ERP north star and future enterprise applications roadmap.
- Help evaluate future ERP direction, including Oracle Fusion and other strategic options, aligned with ATI’s business and technology strategy.
- Bring experience with multi-business-unit ERP template design, rollout, process standardization, and value realization.
- Identify opportunities to improve current ERP and application investments without waiting for future transformation programs.
- Apply a solution architecture mindset across the application portfolio and help mature ATI’s enterprise architecture capability.
- Partner closely with functional DT leaders and business unit DT leaders to align enterprise application capabilities with business priorities, delivery needs, and technology strategy.
- Serve as the enterprise applications leader brought into direct business conversations when new platforms, cross-functional processes, integrated solutions, or major application decisions require deeper solution leadership.
- Build credibility with supply chain, finance, procurement, operations, maintenance, manufacturing, quality, and business unit stakeholders where direct engagement is required.
- Help functional and BU DT leaders identify opportunities to improve application investments, strengthen adoption, reduce operational friction, and improve business outcomes.
- Ensure application strategy, delivery execution, and support models align with enterprise technology direction and business transformation needs.
- This role requires a builder, operator, and change leader capable of creating clarity in ambiguous environments, raising accountability, and improving organizational maturity.
- The successful candidate should be able to get into the details without becoming trapped in them, distinguish material risks from noise, challenge teams constructively but directly, make decisions with incomplete information, and build trust through delivery, transparency, and practical problem solving.
- This leader must be capable of coaching and upskilling teams while making difficult talent and organizational decisions when necessary.
- This role will help establish a stronger enterprise applications culture centered on ownership, execution, quality, operational stability, and customer value.
- This role must comply with ATI’s in-office policy.
- Travel will be required as needed to transformation sites based on program requirements.
- The role will have authority to recommend and execute changes to team structure, responsibilities, and the internal/external delivery mix within approved budget parameters.
- The position should be viewed as a potential successor candidate for broader Digital Technology leadership responsibilities.
