Novo Health Services is seeking an experienced Director of Engineering to lead engineering, maintenance, utilities, and facility infrastructure across our growing healthcare textile network.
This role provides strategic leadership for engineering operations across multiple production facilities, ensuring equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance while supporting the continued growth of Novo’s healthcare linen services.
The Director of Engineering partners closely with executive leadership and plant operations teams to strengthen preventive maintenance programs, drive capital equipment strategy, and standardize engineering practices across the organization.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and oversight for engineering and maintenance operations across multiple Novo facilities.
Develop and implement standardized preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
Oversee plant infrastructure including wash floor systems, dryers, finishing equipment, boilers, utilities, and facility systems.
Lead capital planning and equipment strategy, including facility upgrades, plant expansions, and automation initiatives.
Establish and track engineering performance metrics including uptime, reliability, and maintenance cost control.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and industry standards including OSHA, HLAC, and Joint Commission requirements.
Develop and lead engineering and maintenance teams while promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Partner with executive leadership to support operational strategy and long-term growth.
10+ years of engineering or maintenance leadership experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
Multi-site engineering or maintenance leadership experience preferred.
Experience with industrial laundry, textile processing, or high-volume manufacturing environments strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of plant utilities, equipment reliability, and preventive maintenance programs.
Experience managing capital equipment projects and facility infrastructure improvements.
Familiarity with CMMS systems and reliability engineering practices.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
