Company Description

QAD is a leading provider of ERP solutions purpose-built for manufacturing industries — automotive, life sciences, food & beverage, high tech, and industrial. Serving thousands of global manufacturers, QAD's Adaptive Manufacturing Cloud helps companies operate with greater precision, agility, and intelligence.

Enterprise software is entering a third era. The first gave manufacturers a System of Record — ERP that answered 'what do we have and what did we commit to?' The second gave them Data Infrastructure — the ability to move, analyse, and query that data at scale. The third era is domain-specific intelligence: AI agents that can act autonomously on manufacturing data, but only if that data has been given the context, relationships, and governed rules that allow an agent to reason correctly.

Job Description

Ignite Your Future:

At QAD, we are building intelligent, adaptive platforms that redefine manufacturing and supply chains. As Director of Engineering (SRM & EQMS), you will own the delivery and technical direction of our Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and Enterprise Quality Management System (EQMS) products. Leading teams currently staffed in partnership with external delivery partners (such as TCS), you will manage vendor expectations, drive partner accountability, and collaborate closely with Product and senior leadership. This role blends strategic people and partner leadership with deep technical credibility, driving enterprise SaaS products at scale.

The Mission: What You'll Be Building

You will lead and oversee engineering teams building and evolving QAD’s core manufacturing enterprise products:

  • Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) – driving end-to-end supplier collaboration, procurement, and supply chain visibility.

  • Enterprise Quality Management System (EQMS) – delivering quality compliance, process governance, and operational excellence across the manufacturing lifecycle.

You will translate product strategy into seamless execution, managing partner delivery teams (such as TCS) and vendor relationships to ensure predictable delivery, strong architecture, and uncompromising product quality.

Your Impact/ What you will be doing:

  • Partner & Vendor Management: Manage vendor expectations and oversee partner delivery teams (TCS) for SRM and EQMS products, driving accountability, high performance, and alignment with internal goals.

  • Technical Direction & Architecture: Guide system design, architectural decisions, and code quality across enterprise software products, ensuring long-term scalability and maintainability.

  • Delivery & Operational Ownership: Own delivery commitments, product roadmaps, release schedules, and engineering KPIs across both product lines.

  • Product Development Focus: Instill a product-centric development mindset within partner engineering teams, distinguishing commercial software delivery from routine platform maintenance.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner closely with Product Management, Architecture, Customer Success, and external vendor leads to ensure synchronized outcomes.

  • Quality & Standards: Establish robust code quality, automated testing, CI/CD, and security standards for all outsourced engineering deliverables.
