As the Director of Corporate Finance at Talkiatry, you will help build and scale the planning and performance management foundation that enables strong decision-making across the business. This role requires a high-energy, high-integrity leader who can partner closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver clear insights, rigorous forecasts, and scalable planning processes that support Talkiatry’s rapid growth.

About Talkiatry

Talkiatry is transforming mental health care by making high-quality psychiatry more accessible, human, and sustainable for both patients and clinicians. Co-founded by a patient and a triple-board-certified psychiatrist, we were built to solve one of healthcare’s most urgent challenges: millions of people struggle to access mental health care, while clinicians face growing administrative burden and burnout. Through our technology-powered, in-network platform, we’re changing that, creating a better experience for patients and empowering clinicians to focus on delivering exceptional care.

Today, Talkiatry is the largest dedicated psychiatry practice in the U.S., with 750+ psychiatrists, 250+ therapists, and more than two million patient visits delivered nationwide. At our scale, every innovation has real impact. Every workflow we improve, every technology solution we build, and every patient experience we redesign helps thousands of clinicians provide better care to hundreds of thousands of patients. We’re not just growing quickly — we’re redefining how behavioral healthcare is delivered in America.

Joining Talkiatry means joining a mission-driven team that is solving complex problems at scale, driving meaningful change in healthcare, and building the future of mental health care with compassion, innovation, and purpose.

You will:
  • Help establish and scale Talkiatry’s FP&A operating cadence, including annual planning, rolling forecasts, and monthly performance reviews.

  • Own and continuously improve forecasting and performance reporting, including variance analysis, insights, and executive-ready reporting.

  • Partner with functional leaders to align resources, hiring, and investments with strategic priorities.

  • Build driver-based planning models across key functions (Operations, Clinical, Commercial, Product/Tech, G&A) to improve predictability and decision quality.

  • Improve FP&A processes, tools, and reporting to increase speed, accuracy, and confidence in the numbers as the company grows.

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team (and/or help shape future team structure), setting standards for analytical rigor, business partnership, and operational excellence.

You have:
  • Technical Knowledge and Skills: You have a strong analytical mindset with advanced financial modeling abilities; able to translate data into actionable insights and operating plans.

  • Work Standards: You value precision and accuracy in your work and can rapidly dissect complex quantitative problems.

  • Building Trust: You have a proven ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and interact with others in a way that instills confidence in your intentions and those of the organization.

  • High Energy: You demonstrate a high-energy, high-integrity leadership style and excel at prioritizing both long-term strategic projects and ad hoc urgent requests in a fast-paced startup environment.

  • Professionalism: You maintain a high level of integrity and can handle highly sensitive and confidential communication with discretion.

Your Qualification:
  • 8 - 12+ years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, corporate finance, or a mix; people management experience preferred.

  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills (driver based models, unit economics, scenario planning).

  • Proven track record partnering with senior stakeholders and driving measurable business outcomes.

  • Ability to be a "player-coach" - hands-on, proactive, and able to roll up sleeves to get work done

What We Do

Talkiatry is solving the mental health crisis in our community by building a psychiatric practice that addresses the unique needs of psychiatrists and insurers. The result? We are growing rapidly because psychiatrists prefer our practice model. Patients benefit too. Through our technology enabled intake process we match patients with the clinician most able to treat their condition so they can feel better faster. We also make mental health care more accessible by offering convenient appointment times and accepting insurance--things that are a huge challenge for patients today.
