This person is ultimately responsible for making sure the company operates at an exceptional level every day.

Primary Responsibilities

Company Leadership

  • Translate the Founder's vision into quarterly and annual operating plans.
  • Lead all company operations.
  • Ensure every department is aligned around priorities.
  • Run weekly leadership meetings.
  • Remove bottlenecks before they become problems.
  • Keep every major initiative on schedule.

Hiring & Talent

This should be one of their greatest strengths.

Own the complete talent function, including:

  • Workforce planning
  • Job descriptions
  • Hiring scorecards
  • Values-based interviewing
  • Reference checks
  • Offer process
  • Compensation recommendations
  • Onboarding
  • First 90-day success plans

Training & Development

Create scalable systems for learning.

Including:

  • SOPs
  • Playbooks
  • Company handbook

Design and manage:

  • Technology vendors and implementation partners
