We are seeking a dynamic Director of Content Standards and Excellence to lead our Editorial Hub at Stand Together. This leadership role is crucial in shaping the narrative and voice of our organization, ensuring that every piece of content—whether a blog post, newsletter, strategic document, marketing collateral, or policy paper—resonates with our partners, donors, and broader audience.  At Stand Together, you will be at the forefront of defining excellence in content creation, playing a pivotal role in how our vision and our programs are communicated and perceived. You will oversee our team of copy editors and be a key player in our editorial operations and marketing AI strategy.

How You Will Contribute

  • Strategic Leadership: Drive the planning, development, and execution of content strategies across multiple channels, ensuring alignment with our organizational goals and vision. 
  • Quality Control: Establish and uphold the highest standards of content excellence, ensuring all communications are compelling, accurately reflect our values, and enhance our public image. 
  • Team Management: Lead and inspire a team of talented editors, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and high performance. 
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with various departments to create strategic communications that effectively support fundraising efforts and engage our diverse audiences. 
  • Content Innovation: Continuously assess and innovate our content practices to stay ahead of industry trends and meet the evolving needs of our community. 
  • Content LeadershipUphold rigorous editorial standards, ensuring all content is factually accurate, well-written, and optimized to resonate with its intended audience.  

What You Will Bring

  • Experience in a fundraising, nonprofit, or sales-driven environment
  • 8+ years of editorial experience in news, communications, or content-focused organizations, with at least 2 years in a leadership position managing content teams
  • Proven ability to develop content strategy and manage editorial calendars
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing talent and building effective teams
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated success executing in highly collaborative cultures and skilled at working with cross-functional teams to produce impactful communications
  • Enthusiasm to contribute to Stand Together's vision and principled approach to solving problems, and a commitment to stewarding our culture, which champions values including transformation and innovation, entrepreneurialism, humility, and respect.
