Position Overview
Core One is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to drive growth and opportunity development within the U.S. Special Operations Forces (SOF) community. This role focuses on identifying and capturing business opportunities aligned with SOF mission sets, leveraging Core One’s unique capabilities to support the operational and intelligence needs of Special Forces. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SOF requirements and a proven track record of success in developing and managing government contracts.
Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify, and capture business opportunities within the Special Forces community, ensuring alignment with Core One’s strategy and capabilities.
- Develop tailored market strategies to address SOF operational and intelligence requirements, emphasizing Core One’s experience in high-demand mission areas.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the SOF community, including senior leaders, acquisition officials, and intelligence personnel.
- Lead strategic engagements with SOF decision-makers, showcasing Core One’s expertise and solutions for supporting SOF missions.
- Collaborate with program managers and executive leadership to design and execute capture plans and proposal efforts focused on SOF opportunities.
- Drive responses to SOF-issued RFIs, market surveys, and RFPs, ensuring compliance and responsiveness to mission-critical needs.
- Present SOF-focused business opportunities at Core One’s gate reviews and lead efforts through the company’s formal pursuit and capture processes.
- Establish and maintain industry partnerships to facilitate teaming and collaboration for SOF-related pursuits.
Required Skills
- Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for upgrade to SCI.
- Experience:
- 7+ years in DoD/Intelligence Community contracting, with at least 5 years of program/portfolio management or business development experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Special Forces mission sets, operational priorities, and acquisition processes.
- Demonstrated experience with IDIQ vehicles, such as INSCOM GISS and SIA 3, and success in capturing competitive federal contracts.
- Proven ability to lead proposal efforts for opportunities valued at over $25M, with a strong understanding of SOF-specific requirements.
- Expertise in supporting tactical and strategic needs of Special Forces operations globally.
- Skills:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with SOF senior leaders and acquisition personnel.
- Strong ability to develop compliant and competitive capture strategies tailored to SOF mission needs.
- Proficiency in integrating competitive intelligence and price-to-win analysis into proposals.
- Extensive network within the Special Forces and Defense Intelligence business ecosystem.
