The Role

The Director, Capital Markets focuses on financing transactions, managing transaction execution and ongoing operations as a primary client contact. Responsible for interfacing with potential investors and clients, as well as, assisting with developing marketing materials, financial modelling, investment structuring, and generally supporting transactions, as well as interfacing internally with team members. This position manages and provides operational support as well as project coordination for various other responsibilities for the group. The position is responsible for the daily oversight of multiple client accounts.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist and support the capital team in all aspects of non-CAT casualty insurance risk securitization transactions across a variety of risk classes.
  • Coordinate and help prepare marketing presentations, term sheets, and offering memoranda for transactions or product offering materials.
  • Provide detailed financial analysis, models, and strategic advice to clients and senior colleagues.
  • Prepare and deliver investor presentations in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Maintain and service relationships with existing clients, prospective investors, distribution channels, or other key relationships.
  • Train and act as a mentor and role model to the more junior members of the team.
  • Develop and maintain databases and automated tools used by the team to track information such as transaction pricings, investor participation, etc.
  • Assist and support senior management in the business development effort.

MANAGEMENT AND SUPERVISORY SCOPE:

  • Individual Contributor: no managerial functions apply.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA / CFA or equivalent preferred.
  • 4 - 6 years insurance/reinsurance, investment banking, investment firm, or fund experience.
  • Experience within leadership roles.
  • Insurance Industry experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • To be successful in this role, you must be highly detail-oriented and organized, able to meet assigned deadlines, and have first-class communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated quantitative and qualitative analysis skills.

TECHNICAL, COMPUTER, SYSTEM SKILLS:

  • Strong Excel skills required, proficient in Microsoft Office, with excellence in PowerPoint and Word
  • Pursuing certificates, accreditations, or other credentials through educational programs available as agreed by the Company, with prior approval.
