About Your Role
The Director of Business Development will be responsible for hiring, onboarding, coaching, and leading QGenda’s business development team. This role oversees outbound lead generation, inbound lead qualification, and pipeline management in close collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to achieve the company’s pipeline and bookings goals. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the leader will manage three managers and a team of ~30 BDRs, ensuring team alignment with QGenda’s messaging and revenue objectives.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Pipeline Development: Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual pipeline generation quotas across all channels including outbound, inbound, Sales and Customer success.
- Lead Management: Oversee the categorization and prioritization of inbound inquiries, ensuring efficient lead qualification and distribution to appropriate teams.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, hire, train, motivate, and retain a high-performing team of business development professionals.
- Performance Management: Set and manage performance expectations for the team, providing coaching and actionable feedback to drive results.
- Data-Driven Strategy: Utilize dashboards and pipeline metrics to identify opportunities for process improvements and prospecting acceleration.
- Incentives and Recognition: Partner with Finance, HR and leadership to develop recognition programs and awards that incentivize and motivate the team.
- Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate processes, aligning team best practices to maximize productivity.
- Sales Tools: Oversee the implementation and adoption of sales enablement tools, ensuring the team stays current with industry trends and technology.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to align strategies and ensure seamless pipeline progression.
Who You Are
- Strong written and oral communications skills.

- Process-oriented with a strong sense of accountability to the bookings stream of the company
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are important, as this person will be working closely with cross-functional teams
- Proven track record of delivering sales results as a manager Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced, high stress environment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills Professional demeanor at all times
Experience You Bring
- 5+ years of sales management in the software industry.
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare sales
- Proven track record of managing and scaling large business development teams
- Experience managing multiple BDR teams, including managers, team leads, and dozens of individual BDRs
- Salesforce.com experience is a plus
