About the role

As Director of Business Development, Europe, you will lead Everway's commercial growth strategy across multiple European markets, driving sustainable revenue growth while building a high-performing business development organisation.

You'll work closely with leaders across Marketing, Product, Customer Success, Revenue Operations and Finance to shape regional strategy, improve commercial performance and ensure every market has the right commercial approach to maximise growth. While you'll remain involved in strategic customer relationships and major commercial opportunities, your primary focus will be developing people, strengthening commercial execution and building a scalable organisation capable of delivering predictable growth in an early-stage, evolving market. You will contribute regional insight into Everway’s global commercial approach, helping to refine and then consistently roll out the model across European markets.

Occasional travel across Europe will be required.

Main responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Contribute to the development and refinement of Everway’s global commercial strategy, and lead its execution across European markets, aligning regional priorities with wider commercial objectives and long-term growth plans.
  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team of Business Development Managers, building future leaders and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Adapt and refine the global commercial approach for European markets, reflecting differing levels of market maturity, customer needs, routes to market and competitive dynamics.
  • Establish the operating rhythm, KPIs and performance management framework for the region, driving consistency in forecasting, pipeline management and commercial execution.
  • Support the team throughout the sales cycle, providing leadership on strategically important enterprise opportunities and executive-level customer engagements.
  • Identify new regional growth opportunities, emerging markets, priority sectors and strategic partnerships.
  • Partner with Marketing to shape regional demand generation strategies, campaign priorities and account-based marketing initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with Product, Customer Success, Revenue Operations and Finance to improve commercial effectiveness, influence product direction and optimise customer outcomes.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with strategic customers, partners and key stakeholders across Europe.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and support the successful closure of Everway's largest and most strategic commercial opportunities.
  • Provide structured market, customer and competitive insight to inform the ongoing refinement of Everway’s global commercial strategy and sales approach.
  • Deliver accurate forecasting, commercial insights and performance reporting, using data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Promote consistent use of sales methodologies, CRM best practice and commercial processes while allowing flexibility for local market needs.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Everway's products, market positioning and competitive landscape to inform regional strategy.
  • Represent Everway through regular travel to customers, partners and industry events across Europe.
Essential criteria
  • 5+ years of experience in an advanced B2B SaaS sales role, including significant experience within an early-stage, startup, or scale-up environment, with a proven ability to succeed as markets, processes, and go-to-market strategies continue to evolve. 
  • 2+ years experience leading high-performing commercial teams across international markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to build commercial momentum and sustained revenue growth in developing markets, including creating pipeline, testing new approaches and translating emerging strategy into repeatable execution.
  • Experience developing and executing regional commercial strategies aligned to wider business objectives.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including negotiating and managing complex enterprise opportunities.
  • Experience establishing forecasting disciplines, commercial KPIs and performance management frameworks.
  • Ability to build effective relationships and influence senior stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Product, Customer Success, Revenue Operations and Finance.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively, using data and commercial insight to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Fluency in both English and Danish, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages. 
Desirable criteria
  • Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Marketing or a related discipline.
  • Experience within the HR, Learning, Accessibility or Enterprise Technology sectors.
  • Proven experience building or scaling a sales function, territory or go-to-market motion where processes, playbooks, market positioning and routes to market were still being developed.
  • Experience shaping international go-to-market strategies and market expansion initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategies and enterprise sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC.
  • Experience working within a high-growth SaaS environment.
  • Experience using AI-enabled tools to improve commercial planning, forecasting or sales effectiveness.
  • Fluency in one or more European languages in addition to English and Danish, particularly Norwegian,  Swedish, French or German.
