Purpose

Serves as a strategic partner and program leader supporting the SVP, Sales and Business Development. Responsible for organizing and leading cross-functional work across the business development domain, driving execution of key business development initiatives.

Sits at the center of business development strategy, execution and communication – translating vision into actionable programs that accelerate growth, deepen customer relationships, and enhance field productivity.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Executive Support

  • Influence business development strategy, including marketing approaches and execution, annual planning, customer planning, etc.
  • Responsible for engaging with key leaders, including executive management outside of Business Development, to ensure business development goals and priorities are understood and addressed
  • Prepares, and presents, executive-level materials (board decks, SLT and SMOC decks, business reviews, etc.) to various groups
  • Drives prioritization and alignment across competing initiatives

Program Leadership

  • Designs, implements, evaluates and manages business development programs including those that drive adoption, penetration, and revenue growth
  • Develop program management framework that guides Business Development, including reporting and dashboard development and stakeholder management.
  • Establishes clear KPIs and tracks overall program performance
  • Leads and/or manages strategic third-party business relationships
  • Serves as business development representative in functional planning. Drives key initiatives forward, including rate delivery strategy.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Represent Business Development domain cross functionally, taking the lead on various projects that impact MGIC customers and overall competitiveness as well as internal projects.
  • Works closely with Director, Business Development Strategy and Operations to ensure business development initiatives are championed
  • Ensure alignment of enterprise priorities impacting business development outcomes

Governance & Communication

  • Lead the cadence of Business Development organization meetings
  • Drive accountability and follow-through on key initiatives
  • Communicate priorities, progress, and results across executive leadership

Experience / Background

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in mortgage, housing finance, or financial services
  • Strong understanding of mortgage insurance, GSE/FHA dynamics, and lender economics
  • Experience in sales strategy, business operations, consulting, or program management
  • Prior Chief of Staff, strategy, or sales enablement experience preferred

Pay Range:


$137,490.00 - $233,740.00

This range aligns with current market data and reflects our commitment to competitive and equitable compensation. Salary offers are based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and training. The range may vary in certain locations to reflect local market conditions. It is not typical to initiate pay at the top of the range to account for internal equity and allow for future and continued salary growth
