Travels throughout assigned geographic territory and/or to specific projects as assigned by sales and senior management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Required: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university plus 1-3 years of applicable Professional sales, Construction Management or Project Management experience in a Foodservice Equipment capacity OR a High School diploma or GED equivalent with 5-7 years of applicable Sales experience and Project Management experience in a Foodservice Equipment capacity. Well skilled in sales negotiation, cold calling, customer relations, reading blueprints, design layouts, and CAD drawings. Ability to analyze data and make sound business decisions based on analysis. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products (specifically Excel and Word). Possess excellent oral and written business communication skills and the ability to foster strong, open lines of communication across all levels of the organization.

Preferred: Experience with sales, AutoCAD/Revit, AutoQuotes, and construction site experience and 2- or 4-year college degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field. Previous SAP experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Prospects and develops leads/customers through all the sources and resource available.

  • Follows up on leads supplied by the supply-side sales force.

  • Always represents Don Build in a consistent and professional manner and maintains the integrity of the DON brand.

  • Follows the contract policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure the expeditious handling of projects.

  • Offers design and layout services and consultation up to his/her technical capabilities.  

  • Requests help and direction from management on projects exceeding his/her technical capabilities when and if needed Accurately prepares quotations and bids within margin and credit guidelines provided by Management Secures signatures on contracts and their required documentation necessary to obtain credit approvals Keeps complete, accurate, and up to date files on all projects.

  • Meets or exceeds sales, margins, and expense plans Maintains daily contact with internal departments, customers, factory representatives, and other outside sources.

  • Follows up and follows through with customers, vendors, management office and support staff Has primary responsibility for problem resolution on his/her projects.

  • Keeps informed on new products, pricing, and other general and technical information as it relates to Don Build and the foodservice industry.

  • Has a primary responsibility for customer satisfaction by maintaining involvement in all phases of a project from initial contact, quotation, contract signing, delivery, installation and collection of all money owed.

  • Responsible for assisting the Credit Department in all Accounts Receivable collection activities with special emphasis on the quick reaction to and resolution of any disputes impacting the prompt payment of outstanding A/R balances.

  • Keeps Manager informed both verbally and in writing of issues within assigned area of responsibility Escalates issues beyond scope of authority to appropriate parties

  • Perform other duties as assigned
