The Director, Bone Marrow Transplant Program provides strategic, operational, and administrative leadership for the Bone Marrow Transplant program. This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care across the continuum of transplant services while maintaining compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. The Director partners closely with physician leadership, nursing, quality, finance, research, and support services to drive program growth, operational excellence, quality outcomes, financial performance, and patient experience. The Director serves as a key leader in advancing the organization's mission, developing innovative programs.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program, including program planning, growth initiatives, and alignment with organizational goals
  • Direct clinical and administrative operations to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality patient care, optimal resource utilization, and achievement of program performance goals.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, quality, and patient safety standards, including oversight of performance improvement and outcome measurement activities.
  • Lead, develop, and engage program staff through effective recruitment, performance management, workforce planning, and professional development initiatives.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with physicians, researchers, referring providers, and community stakeholders to advance program excellence, research initiatives, and market presence.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education - Required

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or related healthcare field required.

 

Experience - Required

  • 5 years progressively responsible healthcare leadership experience. and
  • 5 years years of leadership experience in Bone Marrow Transplant, Cellular Therapy, Hematology/Oncology, or a closely related specialty.

 

Licenses and Certifications - Preferred

  • FACHE - Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives - American College of Health Care Executives or
  • NEA-BC - Nurse Executive Advanced Certification-Board Certified - American Nurses Credentialing Center or
  • PMP - Project Management Professional - Project Management Institute
