Title and Summary
Director, Area Marketing
AREA MARKETING Director Netherlands
RESPONSIBILITIES• Oversees and/or executes local Marketing strategies, including advertising, promotions, sponsorships, market research, etc., to align with business priorities and deliver against company objectives • Leads projects on behalf of own country, balancing needs of stakeholders and managing multiple work streams • Develops metrics and specifications to track program performance, measures program performance, and makes recommendations based on results • Translates high-level direction into desired specifications for MasterCard marketing staff or agency staff for production/delivery of promotional marketing materials, including print, electronic, direct mail and call center promotions • Oversees parts of the local Marketing budget to ensure that all campaigns, programs, and activities are within allocated budget• Collaborate closely with internal & external communications as a full part of our marketing strategy• Supervises a group/team of 2 contributors, ensures compliance to goal setting and performance appraisal processes, identifies and coaches top talent within own team
EXPERIENCES• Demonstrated success in building integrated marketing & communications plans that leveraged synergies between marketing channels• Demonstrated ability in establishing collaborative relationships with global Marketing counterparts and representing the voice of the local market• Extensive experience and demonstrated success in one marketing family, with additional experience in two to three marketing families, including B2B and/or Consumer Marketing• Experience in supervising, coaching, and motivating marketing teams
